Private Detective: Lexington Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

Lexington Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect they say robbed two Lexington Banks.

Officers are attempting to locate Cody Arnett in connection with robberies at the People’s Exchange Bank and United Bank. Police say that Arnett robbed the People’s Exchange Bank on November 25.

According to witnesses, a white male walked into the People’s Exchange Bank with a note demanding money. The suspect fled on foot with the stolen cash.

On December 16, police say that the same man walked into the United Bank wearing a ski mask. He approached a teller with a note demanding cash. The man fled on foot from that scene as well.

Responding officers were able to determine a description of the suspect vehicle: a red, Toyota Tacoma with distinctive stickers on the rear window. After conducting a traffic stop, they managed to detain a passenger in the vehicle but the driver fled the scene on foot.

Through their investigation, police have determined the suspect to be Arnett and they have issued two warrants for Robbery in the First Degree.
