Private Detective: KSP Captures Lee County Escapee

KSP has arrested one of the two escapees who managed to evade a Wolfe County jailer last month.

Police confirm they captured Dallas Trent after reports he was spotted in Clay City. Troopers searched  in the area near Adams Ridge Road.

Officials with the Sheriff’s department say that Dallas Trent and John Trent escaped from a jailer’s vehicle transporting them to Three Forks from a court appearance. On the day of the disappearance, the jailer says that a dog ran in front of a tanker stopping in front of the vehicle. When the vehicle came to a sudden stop, the two men jumped out of the car and ran down the hill.

KSP K-9 units came to the scene and followed a trail for about three miles. They found Dallas Trent lying near a log in the woods. He was taken into custody without incident.

His cousin John was captured on April 8.
