An Orange County high school security guard has been arrested on charges of sexual crimes involving a child.
Deputies arrested Patrick Collins on Thursday.
Collins is accused of following a child into a bathroom stall at Evans High School and touching the student inappropriately.
According to statements from witnesses, Collins followed a student into the bathroom, where he started to kiss and touch the child in the “private area.”

He’s also accused of exchanging nude pictures with the child.
The two reportedly met during volleyball season and had conversations about poetry and sports.
They later exchanged text messages and arranged for a weekend meeting where Collins allegedly drove down a street near the school and performed oral sex on the victim, authorities said.
Some of the allegations date back to October 2014.
The allegations came to light when someone told a teacher what may have happened with the security guard and the student.
School district officials said there is a law that would keep Collins from working at any other school if he is convicted in the case. An internal investigation is underway.
Students at Evans High School told Channel 9 that they were shocked by the arrest and said Collins’ mugshot made the rounds on campus Friday.
