Police arrested a man today who they said used another person’s identity and Social Security number to open a credit card account and obtain cell phones.
Essam Bassam Allamadani, 30, of 3244 S. Holden Road, in Greensboro, faces four charges of identity theft, according to arrest warrants.

Allamadani obtained two cell phones from Sprint and one from Cricket since August 2013, then conducted phone transactions totaling more than $3,510, according to arrest warrants. He also obtained a GE Money Car Care Credit Card and used it for $686 in charges, according to warrants.
Allamadani remains in the Guilford County jail. His bail is $300,000.
His first court appearance is 2 p.m. Monday.
