Private Detective: Police Search for Inmate Who Walked Away from Blackburn

Officials at Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington say an inmate walked away from the property around 9 p.m. Sunday. Now, they are trying to track him down.

46-year-old inmate Charles Blanton was serving a 16-year sentence for convictions out of Laurel County, including manufacturing meth. He would have been eligible for parole in December 2015.

He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police.
