Private Detective: Knox Co. Bus Driver Charged After Students Bring Guns to School

The bus driver charged in connection with two young boys who allegedly brought guns on his bus last week was arraigned by a Knox county judge Monday morning.

Charles R. Hence, III, is charged with facilitation of gun possession on school property. It’s alleged that Hence was told by another student on the bus that the students had the guns, but didn’t do anything about it. Meanwhile, the parents of the six and seven year old boys, John and Melissa Jackson, also face child endangerment charges.

Police say one of the two handguns was loaded. The little boys took them to school telling teachers they brought them for show and tell. Fortunately this incident was handled before anyone was hurt.

In addition to the parents and bus driver, those two boys, in kindergarten and 1st grade also face charges.
