A Pike County man is behind bars after a shooting that sent one person to the hospital.
Kentucky State Troopers say 28-year-old Ronald Wolford was arrested after witnesses reported multiple gunshots coming from a home in the Phelps community. Wolford dropped his weapon after being confronted by troopers and was arrested without further incident. He’s charged with 2nd degree assault and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.

The male victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was treated at the Pikeville Medical Center for non-life threatening issues.
