Perry County Sheriff’s officials have arrested a man in connection to a house fire late Monday night in the Viper Community.
Deputies first got the call as a house fire on Big Branch Road with a possible victim inside. First responders could not find a body once the fire was put out. Later, deputies found Johnson, the man believed to be inside of the home.

Johnson confessed to setting his home on fire.
He’s charged with second degree arson and 12 counts of Wanton Endangerment, two against responding police officers and ten for firefighters and EMS workers.
