Private Detective: Police Searching For Man Who Robbed Gas Station in Lexington

Lexington Police detectives cracked the cases of several recent gas station robberies, but there is still one that remains unsolved.

The clerk in that case wasn’t hurt, but was shaken up over the incident. The man who robbed her is still on the run. She was working at the Speedway on New Circle Road on November 6, around 1:45 a.m. when she stepped out to smoke a cigarette.

That is when a white man, about 5 foot 10 inches, 250 pounds wearing a hoodie pulled up over a hat, told her he didn’t want to hurt her but that he was robbing her and he ordered her back inside.

Inside the store, he demanded that she open the register and turn over all of the cash. He implied that he had a weapon.

She said that she stayed focused and tried to do exactly what the man said.

She thought she’d hit the panic button that would call for police, but apparently she didn’t.

Ten minutes later an officer out on routine patrol happened to stop in and check on her. She told him about the crime that occurred.
