Private Detective: Fugitive on TN’s Most Wanted List Arrested in Laurel County

A man on Tennessee’s Top 10 Most Wanted list was arrested in London Thursday night around 7:40 p.m.

He was arrested at a residence on East 5th Street.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Unit along with the U.S Marshal Service found the wanted fugitive hiding in his relative’s home behind a small refrigerator, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

The fugitive has been identified as Rick James Brock, 51. He is wanted for four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and four counts of rape of a child.

Tennessee authorities listed Brock as having a violent criminal history and as armed and dangerous.

Brock attempted to escape during his arrest and had to be physically subdued to end the altercation.

Rick James Brock was also charged with resisting arrest; assault, third-degree (police officer as victim) and escape, third-degree.

His relative, Mark Rasnick, 45, was also arrested and charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension, second degree and resisting arrest.

Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
