KSP arrested a Tennessee man for charges of sexual abuse and unlawful imprisonment Wednesday.
Police say they responded to the complaint of sexual abuse and unlawful imprisonment in a parking lot of a closed business in the Whitley City area of McCreary County.
An investigation revealed that a woman had pulled into the parking lot of a closed business and got out of her vehicle. She walked to the door and discovered the business was closed. Police say that as she was walking back to her vehicle, Dewayne M. Chambers, 54 of Huntsville, TN.,allegedly grabbed her and pulled her into his vehicle.

The victim was partially pulled inside the vehicle when she began to fight back and was able to get away and back into her car.
She then drove out of the parking lot and found a Deputy Sheriff. Police say she explained the story to him and he was able to stop Chambers before he could leave the area.
The victim suffered minor injuries during the attack.
Chambers was arrested at the scene and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
He was charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree.
The investigation continues.
