A person was shot and killed in the Portland neighborhood in Louisville.
WAVE 3 said that the Louisville Metro Police SWAT was called to the Portland neighborhood to deal with the possible suspect in the shooting. They say that the suspect surrendered without incident to homicide detectives.

The victim of the shooting was taken to the University of Louisville and later died from his injuries.
Police cordoned off a large area during the standoff and told residents to remain inside their homes.
