A stolen motorhome is back where it belongs after a rocky ride in Scott County. Now the thief is behind bars after leading police on a chase.
Georgetown police say it was a woman living near Pine Tree Path who reported a suspicious vehicle in her neighborhood. On the way there, an officer spotted an RV matching the description that woman gave near K-mart.
“Upon arrival and running the license plate, it was found to be stolen from Lexington,” Lt. Brian Moore with Georgetown police says.

When that officer tried to pull over the RV, the driver took off.
“He drove around the back of a business got on Paris Pike and at that point was fleeing,” LT Moore added.
The chase then took them through downtown. The man behind the wheel side swiped at least one, possibly two vehicles, along the way.
When the driver turned off of Main street, he ended up here North Royal Springs Avenue which is a dead end, but he kept going.
“Good thing it was during the day because there are kids that live around here. I’m just glad they weren’t around and nobody got hurt,” neighbor, Curtis Brown said.
After plowing through a fence and driving through several yards, the Northside rental RV got stuck and the driver got caught.
30-year-old Jason Judd was arrested.
The motorhome was taken back to the police station. We were there when employees came to pick it up.
“I knew there would be damage on the front end but I didn’t realize the damage it would be to the roof and sides. There’s quite a bit of damage here,” Chad Ecklar, Northside RV employee said.
Although an official estimate has not been given, workers guess thousands of dollars of damage was done. Inside, they found TV’s were missing along with drug paraphernalia.
Judd faces charges including fleeing and evading first degree, wanton endangerment first degree, and receiving stolen property of more than 10-thousand dollars, along with a warrant that was served for another agency.
LT. Moore tells LEX 18’s Evan Gorman he’s glad no one was hurt.
