A man is in jail after the homeowners’ fought back in an alleged home-invasion.
According to his arrest citation, Gregory McGuire approached a home on Chestnut Grove Road in Brodhead. When the homeowners told him to leave, McGuire forced his way through the front door.

Sheriff’s deputies say someone inside the home hit McGuire over the head with a guitar, then held him down until help arrived.
McGuire faces several charges including burglary and wanton endangerment.
