Private Detective: Warrants Obtained for Men in Theft of Guitars

Two Lexington men have been charged in connection with the theft of multiple guitars from local music stores.

Leixngton Police have obtained arrest warrants for Jeremiah Hager, 37, and Jerason L. Banks, 35 in connection with thefts that occurred at four different music stores between June 7 and June 21.

Investigators say that Mr. Hager and Mr. Banks later pawned the stolen property. A total of nine guitars were stolen and six have been recovered.

Hager is charged with multiple counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking (felony shoplifting) and Felony Receiving Stolen Property. Banks is charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Property.

A third white male subject is also believed to be connected with the thefts. Investigators are working to locate Mr. Hager and Mr. Banks. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call police at (859) 258-3600.
