Private Detective: Jackson County Woman Charged With Attempted Murder

A Jackson County woman has been charged with attempted murder after Kentucky State Police say she shot her husband.

KSP responded to a call after Cecil Ray Snider, 59, was found critically injured after being shot inside his Boss Vaughn Road home. Snyder had been found several hours afterwards by his wife, Elizabeth Snider, and neighbors.

Police believe that Elizabeth shot her husband before leaving the scene.  They then allege she returned home a few hours later with some neighbors to find her husband still alive.  Elizabeth denied any involvement in the shooting but was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Snider was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

She is lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center.
