Missing Person Berea Police Still Looking For Missing Man

Berea Police are still looking for missing man Jacob Tipton who has been missing since April 23rd.

His car was found abandoned in a Hart County cemetery. KSP was involved in the case, but since that time, Berea police have taken the case and towed the vehicle back to the police department.

They searched the car for evidence which was sent off to a lab

“His vehicle was located several counties away. We have been in contact with the law enforcement agencies down there, and trying to work with those folks, but there is a lot to it. At this point, we’ve done all we can do,” said Officer Jake Reed with Berea Police.

Tipton’s mother, Tonja Grant, told LEX 18 that too much time was wasted waiting to gather evidence. She said that during the month the car was sitting in Hart County, it was towed and eventually ended up at a used car lot where it was set to be sold before investigators reportedly realized it.

Grant said that the critical delay caused the case to go cold.

Investigators are asking anyone with any information to please call the Berea Police station.

Grant says she will continue to spread awareness on Facebook.
