Private Detective: Man Steals Keys from Restaurant, Drives Off in Employee’s Car

A Lexington restaurant employee had her car keys stolen from work and then the thief drove off in her car.

Cassidy Webb was working at Outback Steakhouse on Saturday. She said she was doing prep work in the back when she noticed a man on the monitors. She thought he was there to place a takeout order until she noticed him behind the desk.

When she went out to see what he was doing, she noticed that he was walking out. Her purse was sitting out and had a few things missing from it.

“Didn’t even notice my keys, until I saw my car flashing, and I was like, ‘oh, he’s getting my car!’,” Webb said.

The man drove off in her red, convertible Mustang with a tan top.

She hopes the public can help police track the man down.

“I would love to have my car back, but you know, I’m just focused on finding this guy. He has a really telling tattoo in one of the videos, so hopefully someone will see that and call in,” said Webb.

The license plate was found in Louisville on another car.
