Private Detective: Couple Charged in Vicious Attack

A Clark County couple is facing multiple charges after police say they attacked two men inside their Winchester home Friday.

Police are still trying to figure out a motive, but neighbors who believes heroin may be the culprit. The husband and wife allegedly stabbed and viciously attacked two men, and neighbors say it went on for hours.

Just after midnight on Friday morning, police responded to a home on Winn Avenue on report of a possible stabbing, but before they got to the house
the found one man on the ground covered in blood about a block away.

The officers followed a blood trail to the second unit of the building. Inside, officers found another man who told police he was being held against his will by James and Elizabeth Ball.

The man had multiple injuries and said James Ball hit him with a baseball bat and threatened to kill him.

Neighbors say they heard the man begging for his life. They believe this was the culmination of an argument that spanned a couple days.

“They was hollering about drugs and all that saying a bunch of crazy stuff then I heard some guy saying he had a claw hammer and if that guy moved it was gonna beat him with it,” one neighbor said.

Both Elizabeth and James Ball face multiple charges including unlawful imprisonment. They are now in the Clark County Detention Center.
