Private Detective: Lexington Shooting Victim Facing Charges

A Lexington man shot twice Saturday is now facing charges himself following an investigation. Police say 27-year-old Charles C. Davis Jr. is charged with felon in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana.

Investigators say Davis was shot twice around 5:20 Saturday evening behind the shopping center on East Reynolds Road. Police say Davis got out of his car to throw something in a dumpster when a black Dodge Challenger pulled up and several shots were fired. Davis was shot in his hand and in the chest.

Police say Davis has been uncooperative with investigators, but witnesses say the suspects are two black men. Police say they found marijuana, cash and a gun inside of Davis’ car.

Anyone with any information on this case is asked to call police.
