Private Detective: Police Looking For Man Who Robbed Speedway

Investigators with the Lexington Police Department are working to identify and locate a man who robbed the Speedway on Paris Pike Wednesday morning.

Investigators say that just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the Speedway after the report of a robbery. The store clerk told officers that an unknown man entered the store and handed him a note stating that he had a gun and that ‘this is a robbery.’

The clerk complied with the robber’s demands and handed him the money from the register.

The robber, described by police as a black man in his 30s or 40s, was last seen wearing a black jacket and a tan baseball cap. Police say he is about 5’6’’ with a medium build.
