The owner of a Lexington business said that three people stole from his store Tuesday.
Anupam Gupta owns Lexington Phone Repair. He said that around 1:00 p.m., three people came into his store looking to have some phones repaired. Gupta fixed them, but when it came time to pay, he said that one of the girls claimed somebody else was going to come pay since there wasn’t enough money on her card.
One by one the three left. The last woman sprinted away from the store. Gupta chased her while on phone with police dispatch.

He said he caught her in a nearby parking garage and wrestled her to the ground. He has small scabs on his knuckle where he says she bit down on his hand.
Gupta said his goal is to catch the people who stole his sense of security.
“I just thought it would never happen to me. I never thought I was the target, but I guess I was,” said Gupta.
They found an unpaid receipt from one woman who signed before she took off.
