Arson Investigation Peddler’s Mall Fire Intentionally Set

The Lexington Fire Department is asking for help finding the person responsible for setting fire to the Peddler’s Mall Monday night.

Firefighters were called to a fire at Peddler’s Mall on New Circle Road around 7:30 p.m.

Fire crews say that the sprinkler system inside helped contain the fire and keep it under control until crews arrived. No one was hurt, but there was some damage to merchandise inside.

An initial investigation found that the fire was intentionally set.

Firefighters are asking for help from anyone who were in Peddler’s Mall or in the area at the time of the fire.

The Peddler’s Mall is back open for regular business hours. Room 3 will be closed for the foreseeable future.
