Missing Person Golden Alert Cancelled for Lexington Man

UPDATE: Gary Riggs was found and is safe.

LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) The Lexington Police Department has issued a Golden Alert for a man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Gary Riggs was last seen around 10 a.m. Tuesday from a home on Hannibal Court near Twain Ridge Drive.

Police say he is 73-years-old, 5’6”, 180 pounds, with shaggy, white hair, and a glass eye.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt that may be first from drywall work.

Riggs is diabetic and has Alzheimer’s. Police say he has not taken his diabetes medicine and may be disoriented.

Anyone with information about Mr. Riggs’ whereabouts is asked to contact Lexington Police by calling (859) 258-3600 or 911.
