An alert has been issued from Northpoint Training Center in Burgin.
Thomas Meeks walked away from the minimum-security unit at Northpoint Training Center today at approximately 7 a.m.
Meeks was serving an 18-year sentence for convictions out of Garrard and Madison Counties for 12 counts of Burglary, 2nd Degree; Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $500 Under $10,000; and Theft by Unlawful Taking-Firearm.

He is a 39-year-old white male, 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He would have been eligible for parole in March 2018.
