Private Detective: Men Accused of Robberies Plead Not Guilty

The three men arrested in connection to a string of armed robberies were arraigned Tuesday.

All three are facing multiple robbery charges for robberies that all happened within days of each other. Two of those three men are being charged in the murder of a 54-year-old man.

Frankfort police began their investigation when they say three men robbed the Arandas Mexican Restaurant at gunpoint on May 14. Then on May 20, police say three men with similar descriptions robbed a Circle K gas station.

Three men, James Johnson, Emmanuel Bush, and Jarqueze Bunton are being charged with robbery in both of those cases.

This past Friday, there was a third robbery at a Marathon Gas Station. Johnson and Bush are facing murder charges after police say they allegedly shot a man during the robbery.

Johnson, Bush, and Bunton all pleaded not guilty to their charges Tuesday. Between the three of them, they’re being held on more than $500,000 in bonds.

Johnson is facing a third robbery charge for an alleged home invasion that happened in the same time frame as the other robberies.

The three men are expected back in court next month.
