Wrongful Death Louisville Police Searching For Shooters

Police believe the first murder at Waterfront Park could be gang related.

Antonio Brown was shot in the torso Monday and died.

Two others also were shot, but are recovering.

Police said everything started at a party that got out of control on University of Louisville’s campus.

Officers broke up about 500 people, and they migrated to the Big Four Bridge in Waterfront Park.

There were 20 police officers within eyesight of the shooting, but the crowd was so big, there was nothing they could do.

Now, investigators hope someone will come forward with information.

“This no snitch mentality is literally and figuratively killing us all. we have to speak up,” said Lt. Emily McKinley, LMPD.

More than a dozen detectives worked through the night collecting evidence.

One person with a gun was arrested as they ran from the scene, but it’s unclear if that person was involved or not.
