Wrongful Death Family of Man Found Dead in Laurel Lake Offering $5k Reward

The family of a man found dead in Laurel Lake is offering a reward for information into what happened to him.

Robert Wagers’ body was found more than two weeks ago.

The family believes it may be foul play.

Sixteen days since his body was found in the City Dam waters near Corbin.

Sixteen days for his family waiting for answers.

Now, another number to talk about: 5,000.

That’s a $5,000 reward the family is offering for information leading to an arrest into the May 15 death of the 24-year-old man.

The coroner said his body had not been reported missing at the time of discovery, and his body may have been in the water for a number of days.

Kentucky State Police are still investigating the case.

Wagers’ grandfather said when his grandson’s body was found, they found a billfold and 37 cents in his pocket — so he wants to know if this case is indeed foul play.

If you have any information on what happened to Robert Wagers, give Kentucky State Police a call.
