The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says that two people were arrested on drug charges and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor after they received a call about two parents passed out with children in the house.
When deputies arrived at the home on Weeping Willow Road in Gray, a witness told them that the two-year-old was outside in the front yard alone after dark.

There was also a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old present at the time.
When deputies entered the door, they say they were met by Melinda Lowe, the mother. The father, James Lowe, was still passed out on the couch, according to deputies. They say they had to wake him up and that after he woke up, James Lowe became combative and had to be restrained.
Deputies claim to have found 24 Xanax bars, one Suboxone strip, and a straw.
James Lowe, 40, was charged with three counts of Endangering Welfare of a Minor, Possession of Controlled Substance-3rd Degree, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.
