Pedophile Tracking Cumberland County, PA Bus Driver Faces Charges

Stanley Richwine, 61, of Mechanicsburg is facing several felony charges including 8 counts of rape of a child and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

“He made a full confession and confirmed exactly what the victim said was going on,” said Detective Sgt. Tom Kauffman, Upper Allen Township Police Department.

Richwine was employed as a bus driver for the Cumberland Valley School District by Kauffman Bus and was also employed by the district as a security officer at after school events.

“We were very concerned about that as well. That is something we covered in the in depth conversation that we had with him and we have no reason to believe that he sought out any children by nature of how he was employed,” said Detective Kauffman

Richwine was employed with Kauffman bus since March of 2012.

“He passed all background checks. As soon as we learned of the investigation he was removed from his bus route. He is no longer employed with Kauffman Bus,” said Jason Petroff, spokesman Kauffman Bus.

Cumberland Valley School District says they did not release information of the ongoing investigation into Richwine at the request of law enforcement.

“Cumberland Valley School District has been cooperating fully with an ongoing police investigation regarding an individual who is charged with inappropriate contact with a minor. Upon learning of the investigation, the individual was immediately placed on leave and since that time has not been present on our school grounds. All district personnel – full time, part time, and supplemental employees – and bus drivers must undergo a background check and provide clearances. Required clearances include Child Abuse History Clearance, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance. The district has on file all of the appropriate clearances for the individual. Please remain confident that the district takes seriously any allegations that may hinder the safety of our students and we have in place many policies and procedures to ensure their well-being,” Tracy Panzer, Communications Specialist Cumberland Valley School District.

Police say Richwine had one victim and did not have access to that child through his employment with Kauffman Bus or the Cumberland Valley School District.

Richwine is in Cumberland County Prison on $500,000.00 bail.

Missing Person Magoffin County Father Missing for a Week

Family members of a missing Magoffin County father of two say they fear the worst after their loved one disappeared almost a week ago.

“Waiting for answers, it’s miserable,” said Tiffany Lambert, whose brother, 29-year-old Freddy Brown hasn’t been seen or heard from since last Wednesday night. Lambert says their mother watched Brown leave with friends.

“She [saw] my brother run and she’s like ‘what’s going on?’ and he said ‘go in the house mom. I’ll tell you in a minute.’ And that’s the last time she spoke to him,” Lambert said.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Five days have passed. The 29-year-old’s truck hasn’t moved. Lambert says the CD player was torn from the vehicle and the man’s keys were left inside.

“Why can’t nobody give a straight answer of where my brother was last seen?” Lambert asked. “It just don’t add up. He would’ve called me if something was wrong. He would call me or my mother. That’s why we’re worried. He hasn’t contacted us.”

Crews have searched the area of Johnson Fork Road. That search was suspended for the day and the sheriff says it could resume as early as Tuesday.

Brown’s family says some people in the area know him as “Freddy Howard.”

The sheriff tells LEX 18 that investigators have not ruled out foul play. If you have any information, contact the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office.

Pedophile Tracking KS Man Gets 20 years

A Kansas man who talked about traveling to Central Florida to have sex with children and sent undercover agents graphic images was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday.

Authorities said Nicholas Knittig planned to drive to an Altamonte Springs restaurant to meet the supposed siblings for sex but backed out after he learned the meeting location was used in the past by detectives conducting online sex stings.

But what he told and emailed an undercover detective, who posed as a father offering his children for sex, was enough for prosecutors in Orlando to file federal charges.

Knittig pleaded guilty in October to charges of coercion or enticement of a minor and transferring obscene materials to minors.

In addition to prison, Knittig was sentenced to lifetime probation.

Identity Theft San Diego Woman Arrested in Ring Targeting Blondes

A detective with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station has a suspect in custody who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from women by taking their identities and withdrawing cash and to make big purchases.

Pilar Abalos, 42, of San Diego, had a $220,000 warrant out for her arrest on burglary and identity theft charges.

“Through hours of investigation and diligent police work, a detective with the Sheriff’s Department was able to catch this suspect who is thought to have scammed thousands of dollars from victims throughout Southern California, including the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Deputy Josh Dubin of the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

Abalos is currently being held on $220,000 bail at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.

She was booked there at 12:52 p.m. Saturday, according to arrest records. A Sheriff’s Department spokesman for the Lynwood facility could not identify the arresting agency.

idtheft021313cThis is the second arrest in the case.

On Feb. 5, deputies with the SCV Sheriff’s Station arrested Valerie Lynne Ray, 54, of Los Angeles, on charges related to three local incidents.

Detectives believe Ray is the person who physically stole the wallets, and Abalos then used her likeness to commit identity fraud and steal large amounts of money.

Ray is being charged with six counts in connection with a crime ring that believed to have stolen from Crescenta Valley, Ventura County and local residents, said Dubin.
“We believe the woman we have in custody is the woman who physically stole the wallets and IDs,” Dubin said. “She then gave those IDs and wallets to the (person of interest).”

Dubin added that there are likely additional counts pending from other cities.

“The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detective assigned to investigate this incident partnered with neighboring law enforcement agencies, local news media and the community we serve in order to solve this case,” Dubin said.
