Pedophile Tracking School Admin. at an Idaho HS Arrested in Utah

BURLEY, Idaho — A school administrator at Burley High School accused of sexually abusing two minors has waived her right to an extradition hearing after being arrested in another state.

The decision Thursday clears the way for 41-year-old Tara Leigh Bagley to be returned to Idaho. Bagley — the vice principal at the high school — was arrested last week near St. George, Utah, on seven felony charges of sexual abuse of a child between the ages of 16 and 17.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

The Times-News reports that 5th District Court documents spelling out the specifics of the charges will remain sealed until Bagley is returned to authorities in Cassia County.

Authorities have said the charges stem from Bagley’s alleged sexual conduct with two female victims from July 2011 to December 2012.

Insurance Fraud Ames Man Arrested

Ames Police have arrested a man they say faked the theft of his pickup truck and tried to cash in on an insurance claim.

Daniel Joseph Nepple, 25, was taken into custody Monday and charged with insurance fraud, a Class D felony, and false reports to police, a serious misdemeanor.

Nepple, who police records indicate lives in Lohrville in Calhoun County, reported early in the morning of Feb. 5 that his 2000 Ford F150 had been stolen from the 100 block of Stanton Avenue in Ames.

http://liarcatchers.com/insurance_fraud.html

Nepple, who lived in Ames at the time, told police he’d been walking to his truck when he saw it being driven away from where he’d left it parked. He said he chased the vehicle briefly on foot but lost sight of it and returned home and called police.

An officer arrived at Nepple’s apartment to take the report and found him apparently intoxicated with blood on his clothing, according to the police report.

Later that day, the truck was found on State Avenue south of the city by a farmer who said it looked as if it had been driven off the gravel road and rolled onto its side.

After calling police, Nepple made a claim to his insurance company for the theft. When police spoke to insurance company officials, they said Nepple had given varying stories about who he had been with before and after his truck was stolen.

Police identified a witness who said she had picked Nepple up on State Avenue the night of the crash and given him a ride back to his apartment. The witness said Nepple told her he’d wrecked his truck, and that she was to tell police she’d been drinking the night of the crash and couldn’t remember anything, the police report said.

When the insurance company approached Nepple about the discrepancies in his stories, he reportedly asked that his claim be dropped immediately.

Police filed charges against Nepple in November and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A preliminary hearing in the case has been set for Jan. 4.

Officials with the Story County Jail said Wednesday that Nepple had been released.

Missing Person UK Police Locate Missing CA Child

UK police say officers acting on a “gut feeling” located a missing California child Thursday night.

Police say officers noticed a woman pushing a stroller through a parking lot on campus Thursday night. Investigators say the child was not properly dressed for the weather. Officers investigated and determined the child was Alouette Day-Moreno-Baltierra, 17 months, reported missing from Los Angeles.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

The child was reported abducted on Oct. 15, possibly by a family member.

Police say the woman pushing the stroller was Maria Baltierra-Dejesus, 62, a New York resident. Police charged her with endangering the welfare of a minor and custodial interference. Investigators say felony charges out of California are pending. Police say Baltierra-Dejesus is the “alleged grandmother” of the child.

According to police, Baltierra-Dejesus is “in a UK health care facility,” but they did not indicate why.

Police say late Thursday afternoon, the same woman was seen at a UK health care facility in an area for employees and was asked to leave. She said she was trying to get a job as a doctor. Investigators say a woman with the same name was once a doctor in California and was disbarred, but police say it remains unclear if it’s the same woman.

Child protective services took custody of the child pending a hearing on her return to California.
