Missing Person Search Continues for Colorado Boy

The search continues on Saturday for a Colorado boy whose mother says he would not leave willingly.

Dylan Redwine, 13, was last seen by his father, Mark Redwine at 7:30 a.m., Nov. 26, 2012, at his home on 2343 County Road 500 in Vallecito. Mark left to run errands and when he returned his son was gone, reports Fox News. Around 4:30 p.m., that evening he was reported missing by his father, reports the Pine River Times.

“Dylan wouldn’t have left willingly, Elaine Hatfield, Dylan’s mother said on Friday, reports Fox News. “If there was any way to communicate he would have called.”

Dylan, who lives with his mother in Colorado Springs arrived at Durango-La Plata County Airport on Sunday to spend the Thanksgiving break from school with his father. Elaine who is currently in Vallecito to help to search for her son, said that Dylan sent her a text message when he arrived with a scowling smiley face. She added that Dylan rarely visited his father as his father never exercised his visitation rights.

Dylan’s mother and father have been going through a custody dispute, and the boy was visiting his father as part of a court order, reports KRQE news.

Elaine is convinced that Dylan did not vanish on his own, and discounts sighting of him on Monday and Tuesday. She said her son was happy and he had friends and hung out at Skate City and began eighth grade in August, reports the Durango Herald.

The authorities have searched for Dylan, but they have little to go on. A search and rescue group along with dogs turned up nothing so far. The community has come together and formed search parties to search Vallecito and nearby Bayfield all this week.

“We have to consider everything from foul play to a runaway,” said La Plata County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Bender.

Dylan is described as 5 feet tall, 105 pounds, blond hair. blue eyes and fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white Duke Blue Devils baseball cap, black Nike T-shirt and black Jordan tennis shoes.

Accident Reconstruction Woman Dies in Thanksgiving Crash in Rowan County

A Thanksgiving Day tragedy has forever changed how one Kentucky family will celebrate the holiday. A crash took the life of a beloved Rowan County mother this past Thursday.

The victim’s brother is now speaking out about the family’s loss.

Wendy Williams had just dropped off her two little kids at her parents house on Thanksgiving morning so she could go to work that day. “She was coming back to go to work. She had made it on Christy Creek,” says Ernest Wilson, Wendy’s brother.

http://liarcatchers.com/accident_reconstruction.html

State Police say a driver in a pick-up truck drifted across the center line on Kentucky 32 in Rowan County, hitting Williams head-on. Williams later died at UK Hospital. “It’s really tough when its your family member,” says Wilson. “It’s been hard on my parents. You know? It’s been hard on me, but it’s been hard on my parents. It’s going to be hard on her fiance and her kids. And you know its been hard on her niece and nephew they really love her a lot.”

Wilson was a mother of two, a fiance and a manager at a local Walmart. “She’s goofy. That’s the only was you can explain her. She loved to spend time with my mom and dad as well as her fiance Jeremy. She liked to go fishing and ride horses,” remembers Wilson.

So on Thanksgiving Day, when many are sitting around a big dinner table eating turkey, Wilson’s family was mourning, and planning a funeral. “It really magnified it I believe. Because I mean you know that’s a day you spend with your family to spend time with them and reminisce about good things and not a tragedy that’s happened. Now it will forever change how our Thanksgiving is.”

The other driver in the crash, 21-year-old Dustin Rayburn, was flown to a West Virginia hospital where he is in stable condition.
