Police do not suspect foul play but the investigation is ongoing, Tyler said. Investigators expect to have a confirmed cause of death in the next couple days

Scottsdale police discovered the body of Jean Valentino about 5 a.m. Sunday inside her car at the Scottsdale mall, Chandler Police Department spokesman Detective Seth Tyler said. Her cause of death was not immediately clear.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Valentino, 56, an English teacher at North Canyon High School in Phoenix and at Phoenix College, was last seen at the home of her fiance near Ray Road and Loop 101 on the morning of Aug. 25, Chandler spokesman Sgt. Joe Favazzo said.

Her fiance, Richard Doria, said he left the home to run an archery tournament but when he returned, she was gone. Her car, purse and pillow were missing, the doors were locked and Doria said there was no way anyone had broken into the home and forced her out.

Doria said Valentino had a condo in Phoenix and split her time between there and his home in Chandler. He said she took medication for horrible migraines, but did not have the medication with her when she disappeared.

Missing Person’s Body Pulled from Reservoir at Green Lane Park

Police and fire crews pulled a man’s body from the reservoir at Green Lane Park Sunday afternoon.

According to the state police, the man reportedly went missing the night before.

Around 2:40 p.m., police, rescue and fire crews pulled a man’s body out of the water and up a wooded slope in a rescue sled brought by the Red Hill Fire Company. The body was taken to an area near a green canopy that emergency personnel set up as their base of operations.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

A person from the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office arrived on scene shortly before the man was pulled from the water to pronounce him dead.

The body was reportedly discovered near a steep, wooded bank leading down to the water. The area where it was reportedly found is near a picnic grove off of the park’s parking lot.

Upon the initial investigation, state police from Skippack said they believe this to be a case of accidental drowning.

“Something happened that he ended up in the lake,” said Lt. Erick Tuck of the state police.

He said there was a steep drop-off shortly after a person left the bank.

“You can only go out five feet and then it drops off,” Tuck said. “He was recovered in some pretty deep water.”

The state police headed the scene and were assisted by Green Lane Park Rangers. The deceased’s identity could not be released until his next of kin were notified.

The man was recovered wearing jeans and sneakers without waders.

Crews were searching the waters of the reservoir since at least 10:30 Sunday morning.

The Telford Volunteer Diving and Rescue Unit responded and provided divers to locate the man. At one point, at least two boats, including those from Telford’s diving unit and the Park Rangers, were out searching on the water.

Sonar was used at the scene to detect where the body may have been.

It seemed the man’s body was discovered before 2 p.m., as the Telford crew began packing up some of its gear and the firefighters used to help pull the body on the sled up the hill arrived around then.

Fishing gear was discovered on the bank near where the man was pulled from the water.

Those looking to enjoy the park’s water for the Labor Day weekend had to take a backseat to the search and investigation.

Park Rangers reportedly decided to suspend the rental of boats while the search was going on.

One family said Rangers and police kept them back from the picnic table nearest the point where the body was eventually recovered.

“They said they had an incident here last night and that was pretty much all,” Dave Arcraro said. Arcaro was at the park to fish Sunday in an alcove across the lake, but the suspension of boat rentals ended that plan.

An SUV belonging to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office drove back to the scene after 3 p.m., presumably to pick up the man’s body.

A tow truck also arrived at the scene around the same time and towed away a white SUV. The crew had the keys to the vehicle, which presumably were found among the gear on the bank and belonged to the deceased.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Wrongful Death 3 People Arrested in the Death of Danielle Jacobs

COCOA —

Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Cocoa.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 39-year-old Danielle Jacobs.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office discovered her body Sunday morning and were busy investigating a home at 1935 Lazy Lane.

The case began as a missing person’s investigation, and according to investigators, that lead them to the home and another location where they found the victim.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Deputies said Jacobs was reported missing by her roommate on Aug. 30 who had last seen her nine days earlier in Rockledge.

Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 31-year-old Jessica Brewer, 30-year-old Dhanvantarivisn Cramer and 31-year-old Alexandria Schmidt.

The three suspects were arrested in the last 48 hours. Detectives believe the motive appeared to be drug related.

Investigators said the three women and the victim were involved with manufacturing and distributing meth and the death happened last week because of the drug activities.

Deputies said witnesses told them the suspects attacked Jacobs because they thought she was providing law enforcement with information about their operation.

The home where the attack happened belonged to Schmidt. Officials said they found the body at another location — moved there to try and hide the woman’s murder.

All three suspects were transported to the Brevard County Jail under no-bond status. They have all been charged with first-degree premeditated murder. Other charges include false imprisonment and tampering with evidence.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine how Jacobs died.
