Missing Person Kenneth Roberts

COLUMBUS, Ohio —

A Columbus woman has a message for her missing husband: Come home.

Kenneth D. Roberts Sr., 61, disappeared Monday, April 9.

Family, friends and Columbus police are especially concerned for Roberts because he doesn’t have his medication for Parkinson’s and dementia.

“It’s just surreal. That’s what I keep saying. It’s surreal,” said Phyllis Roberts Tuesday, eight days after her husband of 31 years left and didn’t come back.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“People have said they’ve had loved ones missing and after eight or 10 days, they just come to the door. So, I don’t even feel like going away because I think he’s going to come,” she said.

She said she first found Kenny missing when she got home from work last Monday. Her brother told her he went to see a friend.

“My brother saw him go across the street, and then he saw him leave there and walk toward the corner. That’s the last [time],” she said.

CPD initially said a relative took 61-year-old Roberts to Ravenswood Court, near Easthaven Road, to visit a family friend. NBC4 can’t confirm whether Kenny walked away from his home or if he was dropped at a friend’s home when seen last.

Kenny doesn’t have his daily medication for high blood pressure, dementia and Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 1994.

Phyllis said Kenny has walked away before.

“He would go to the neighbor’s house. Then, he would go to the corner and then sometimes a little bit farther, but he would always return,” she said.

Columbus police have done three different ground searches for Kenny, including an extensive search last Friday that utilized K-9s.

None of the searches have turned up any clues.

“He just disappeared into thin air,” said Bob Cuahonte. Cuahonte has been Kenny’s friend for 20 years.

He said he hasn’t given up hope, though. Tuesday, Cuahonte made another stack of fliers he hopes will catch the right person’s eye.

“He’s gotta be here someplace. Somebody’s gotta turn up with him. He’s just got to come back here,” he said.

“I think someone picked him up. Maybe he called someone … I don’t know where he might have had in mind,” Phyllis said.

Wherever her husband is, she had this message: “Come home. We miss you. Come home,” she said.

Investigators told NBC4 they’ve had a few tips on Kenny, but those haven’t turned into anything

Kenny is a black male. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has brown eyes and some gray hair.

He had on a red and gray polo shirt, a navy jacket, navy pants, gray tennis shoes and a dark baseball cap.

A statewide missing adult alert was issued last Thursday.

Anyone with information on Roberts should call Columbus police at 614-645-4624, 911 or 866-693-9171 to be directed to a law enforcement agency.

Missing Person Kayla Chadwick

It has been three weeks since local teen Kayla Chadwick was last seen or heard from and her family and local authorities are on edge.
Since her disappearance on Tuesday, March 27, the family of 17-year-old Fort Morgan High School student Kayla Chadwick has been asking not only the community but the country for help.
On the evening of Tuesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m., family and friends organized a candlelight vigil, ‘Lighting the Way Home for Kayla’ to be conducted at the Museum Park Gazebo on Main Street in Fort Morgan.
Kayla was reportedly last seen with her boyfriend after the two had a fight in the 19500 block of County Road R.7 sometime near 11 p.m. on the night of March 27 and she was supposed to be walking home afterwards. Since then Fort Morgan Police say Chadwick has not been seen or heard from.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html
Kayla’s family has expressed devastation over the disappearance and have organized several community searches centering around the downtown Fort Morgan area ever since, where gatherings of friends, family, neighbors and those who simply yearn to find the teen have come together for Chadwick’s plight. Although first reported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at www.missingkids.com as an ‘endangered runaway’, Chadwick is also considered a ‘missing person’ via the family’s report filed within the city limits of Fort Morgan.
Authorities have still not ruled out the possibility that she was taken against her will and according to Fort Morgan Police Department Public Information Officer John Brennan, the listing has no bearing on the way that police and investigators pursue the case.
Nationwide news organizations have also seemed to pick up on Kayla’s disappearance, as CNN’s own Nancy Grace has reposted Chadwick’s story on her blog at http://nancygrace.blogs.cnn.com. The infamous news personality is also slated to air a televised segment on the Chadwick case tomorrow night on her CNN program, although the show’s air time has been pushed back prior.
According to reports, Chadwick was last seen wearing a black spaghetti-strap tank top under a white and blue checkered button down shirt, blue jeans with the left leg cut mid-calf and black leggings on underneath, with black DC shoes. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds, has red hair with black tips and brown eyes. Kayla’s ears and tongue are pierced and she has a tattoo on one ankle.
Anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact the Fort Morgan Police Department at 970-867-5678.
More information can also be found on the Bring Kayla Chadwick Home facebook page.
The Fort Morgan Police Department, through Crime Stoppers, is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Kayla Chadwick.
Callers can remain anonymous when reporting to Crime Stoppers by calling (970) 542-3411.Those with information can also report anonymously by going to cityoffortmorgan.com and select the “Crime Stoppers” tab on the home page.

Missing Person Brittany Killgore’s body found

A body believed to be that of Brittany Killgore was found in Temecula, according to police officials.

A maintenance worker found the remains around 2:30 p.m. today about a mile west of Lake Skinner on the side of Borel Road, according to Lt. Larry Nesbit of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.

“A road worker who was mowing the shoulder of the road made the discovery,” Nesbit said.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Deputies talked to the worker shortly before the discovery and asked him to keep his eyes open. “The body was not readily visible from the roadway,” Nesbit said.

He declined to release the suspected cause of death.

Killgore, 22, went missing on Friday evening from Fallbrook. She was believed to be with 45-year-old Camp Pendleton Marine Louis Ray Perez.

Perez was arrested on suspicion of stealing an AR-15 military-type assault rifle in an unrelated incident, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. He was held in lieu of $500,000 bail today.

Another woman, Jessica Lynn Lopez, 27, was arrested this morning at a motel on Rosecrans Street in San Diego for her suspected connection to the murder.

She was admitted to UCSD Medical Center due to self-inflicted injuries and was under guard today. She is expected to be booked on a murder charge upon her release from the Hillcrest hospital. Officials declined to discuss Lopez’s alleged connection to the case.

Killgore is married to another Camp Pendleton Marine, Cory Killgore, who is deployed in Afghanistan, though he was informed of what was happening and is en route to the area, according to Nesbit. The woman filed for divorce last week, according to court records.

Investigators went to the area where the corpse was found “based on leads stemming from the arrest of Lopez,” San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Duncan Fraser said during a late-afternoon briefing. The captain told reporters he could release very limited information about the case before heading north to the spot where the dead woman turned up.

“I can’t comment on the condition of the body that was found,” he said. “We have not confirmed that the body … is that of Brittany Killgore. … The medical examiner will make that confirmation.”

On Monday, search-and-rescue personnel combed open areas in the De Luz area, north of Fallbrook, in hopes of determining what had become of Killgore. It was unclear what led them to that spot, but they exhausted their lead and called off the search this morning, Nesbit said.

Perez had been “uncooperative and not completely forthcoming about his knowledge,” according to Nesbit. The lieutenant would not comment on the nature of the missing woman’s relationship with the serviceman.

Among the suspicious circumstances in the case was the fact that Killgore’s cell phone was found by trolley security guards in the Gaslamp District of downtown San Diego, even though investigators do not believe she had gone there herself on the night she vanished, Nesbit said.

Electronic Surveillance Catches Women Cleaning out Hotel Room

It’s hard to tell whether criminals have gotten extremely stupid or extremely bold, or both.

Usually, people who steal things from hotels just stuff an extra towel here and there into their luggage, and even “real thieves,” exercise a little bit of caution before making off with goods that don’t belong to them. But a woman who was caught on video robbing Tampa’s Sabal Suite blind decided to take her time and leisurely boost everything she found in an unlocked, uninhabited room. I mean everything.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

The bed linens. The curtains. The picture frames. The iron and ironing board. The rugs. The trash can. The television?

Yes, the television. Not a flat screen, mind you, the bulky old school kind. You’d figure that all of that stuff would add up to more than $700 worth of goods, but that’s what the hotel is claiming they’re out thanks to her heist.

Watch as she leisurely carries a painting out of the room and then wanders around making sure the coast is clear so that she can keep on running loot (it’s pretty boring, but the nerve behind her level of chill about the heist is impressive).

The best part? The suspect is still at large. The Hillsborough Police released this video and a series of photos to find the woman, who as far as I can tell looks completely generic aside from her upper body strength and can-do attitude. So far, no one has turned up.

I take it all back…maybe hotel security and the police are the dummies and not this woman. She’s chilling in a room full of new furnishings and they have hours of her face on video and still can’t find her. Go figure.

Fraud Investigation Tania Head Lied about being in the Towers on 9/11

Of all the survivors of 9/11, Tania Head had one of the most terrifying stories: When the second plane hit the South Tower, the Merrill Lynch employee became trapped in an inferno. Her arm was nearly severed. Her assistant was decapitated and her co-workers burned to death.

She was saved by Welles Crowther — known as the Man in the Red Bandanna for his acts of heroism — and then by a firefighter, only to learn that her husband, Dave, had perished in the North Tower.

http://liarcatchers.com/fraud_investigation.html

Head went on to lead a prestigious survivor network and shared her memories countless times over the years to ease the pain of others.

“Why am I special? Why was I spared? Why didn’t they make it and I did?” Head says here in one of the many archival clips.

One problem: She was an absolute fraud.

“The Woman Who Wasn’t There,” a 90-minute documentary from director Angelo J. Guglielmo Jr. and produced in part by Meredith Vieira Productions, is a creepy, albeit incomplete look at a woman so desperate to be important that she fabricated a detailed life at the heart of Ground Zero.

Merrill Lynch had no record of her. The family of her alleged fiance/husband didn’t know her. Her real name is Alicia Esteve Head, and she apparently was attending business school in Barcelona during the attacks.

Her story began unraveling after a New York Times [NYT] reporter tried to write a feature on her in 2007. Her lies broke no laws, and she dropped out of sight. Some think she returned to Spain. The magnitude of her deception continues to roil survivors, and there are times “Woman” verges on a different film, about the depths of compassion amid horrific betrayal.

Elia, one survivor, tells the camera, “Holding onto all the feelings I had once I found out that she had lied to us is not going to take me anywhere that I want to go.”

Without Head to explain her actions, “Woman” can only guess. Friends talk about a powerful family brought down by a financial crisis that led to jail for her father and brother.

If this documentary had aired around the 10th anniversary of 9/11 last year, it would have drawn a bigger audience, but a final image captured by the filmmaker on Sept. 14 lingers in the mind’s eye.

“The Woman Who Wasn’t There” still haunts New York.
