Anonymous publishes ‘pedophile list’

These guys rock. More great news from Anonymous.
The Anonymous hacking group has posted a list of 1,500 people who it says used a child porn website.
The move comes after the group managed to take down more than 40 pedophile websites last week which were swapping images through the Tor anonymization network.

It all started when Anonymous came across a site hosted on a Tor darknet a couple of weeks ago that linked to images of child sex abuse.

The group warned the site to remove the links, but shut down services when it was ignored.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

“The owners and operators at Freedom Hosting are openly supporting child pornography and enabling pedophiles to view innocent children, fueling their issues and putting children at risk of abduction, molestation, rape, and death,” says Anonymous in a statement on Pastebin.

“By taking down Freedom Hosting, we are eliminating 40+ child pornography websites, among these is Lolita City, one of the largest child pornography websites to date containing more than 100GB of child pornography.

“We will continue to not only crash Freedom Hosting’s server, but any other server we find to contain, promote, or support child pornography.”

It’s published a list of over 1,500 individuals it says were users of the site.

“If the FBI, Interpol, or other law enforcement agency should happen to come across this list, please use it to investigate and bring justice to the people listed here,” it says.

However, when similar vigilante activities have been carried out in the past, law enforcement agencies have been less than happy, saying it could jeopardize proper investigation.

Wells Fargo Customer Info Exposed

Wells Fargo Bank says a printer malfunction is at the root of a bank statement mix-up that resulted in the exposure of account details for what could turn out to be thousands of Wells customers.

Josh Dunn, corporate communications manager for Wells Fargo in Charlotte, N.C., says customers with accounts opened in South Carolina and Florida “may have received, in error, pages from other customer accounts,” though the printing malfunction only affected September statements.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

The malfunctioning printer is no longer in service and is being analyzed, Wells says. The printing error is not believed to be connected to Wells Fargo & Company’s [$1.4 trillion in assets] merger with Wachovia Corp., a conversion that was completed in January 2009.

“Though we believe the risk of compromising a customer’s account is low, we are providing all customers whose statements were printed by the malfunctioning printer with one year’s worth of free ID theft protection,” Dunn says. “We don’t know how many accounts were affected, but even one is one too many.”

Corrected statements are being mailed to all potentially affected customers.

Oksana’s Former Bodyguard protecting Cain

Kristian Otto Herzog — the guy who was once at the center of the bitter battle between Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson — is now at the center of the race for the Repbulican presidential nomination … alongside Herman Cain.

http://liarcatchers.com/executive_protection.html

Herzog was spotted on Friday with the GOP candidate during a campaign stop in Detroit, MI.

Cain’s spokesperson, J.D. Gordon, tells TMZ this was Herzog’s first job with the campaign and he worked with a team of 2-3 guys. Our sources say they don’t believe Herzog is scheduled for any future events … nor do they think he will be asked to provide future services.

Herzog — a convicted felon with a penchant for impersonating police officers — worked as Oksana’s bodyguard and claimed to have had a sexual relationship with her. He sided with Mel when she accused him of domestic violence.

Cadaver dog indicates ‘hit’ Lisa

A cadaver dog searching the home where a missing 11-month-old Missouri girl was reportedly last seen indicated a positive “hit” for the scent of a body, according to documents released Friday.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

The information was included in an affidavit, dated Tuesday, police filed to request a search warrant of Lisa Irwin’s Kansas City home.

Baby Lisa was reported missing at 4 a.m. October 4, after Lisa’s father, Jeremy Irwin, came home from work to find the door unlocked, the lights on and a window that had been tampered with.

Lisa’s mother, Deborah Bradley, said she last saw Lisa at 6:40 p.m. the night before.

“The cadaver dog indicated a positive ‘hit’ for the scent of a deceased human in the area of the floor of Bradley’s bedroom near the bed,” the affidavit read.

It also said that interviews with people involved in the case “revealed conflicting information” and that Bradley told police she did not initially look for her baby behind the house because she “was afraid of what she might find.”

A judge approved the search warrant, which allowed investigators to comb the house and barred the family from returning home. The warrant was executed on Wednesday.

Police took clothing, blankets, a toy, rolls of tape and a tape dispenser from the home, documents showed.

The attorney for Lisa’s parents said the release of the affidavit Friday was “unfortunate,” as it could derail the search for the missing girl.

Joe Tacopina described his clients as “very shaken up and they refuse to believe anything except that she is out there and alive.” He said Lisa’s parents are “terrified, not for themselves, but for the welfare of their daughter.”

The attorney also stressed cadaver dogs are just meant to be an investigative tool, and cannot be considered a basis for legal action against his clients.

The family’s private investigator, Bill Stanton, called the information contained in the affidavit “interesting.”

“I’m eager to get the facts (and) I hope it leads to finding baby Lisa,” he said.

Earlier in the week, Bradley said in an NBC interview that she was drunk the night the infant disappeared and that she had last seen the baby about four hours earlier than initially reported.

Bradley told NBC she is afraid she will be arrested. Police have accused her of killing Lisa, she said, and told her that she failed a lie detector test.

“I was the last one with her,” a tearful Bradley said. “And from judging on how the questioning went, that’s kind of a fear that I have. And the main fear with that is, if they arrest me, people are going to stop looking for her. And then I’ll never see her again, and I’ll never know what happened.”

Asked how much she had been drinking that night, Bradley said, “enough to be drunk.”

But she rejected the notion that she could have harmed her daughter while under the influence of alcohol.

“No, no, no,” she told NBC. “And if I thought there was a chance, I’d say it. No. No. I don’t think alcohol changes a person enough to do something like that.”

Asked whether he had questions about Bradley, Jeremy Irwin told NBC, “No. There’s no question to be had there. I know who she is. I know the kind of mother she is.”

Irwin said it’s possible someone could have entered the house without Bradley hearing, as the couple’s bedroom is on the opposite corner of the house from Lisa’s room and Bradley sleeps with a fan at high speed.

Lisa is described as being 30 inches tall with blue eyes and blonde hair, according to police. She weighs between 26 and 30 pounds and was last seen wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt with white kittens on it.

The missing girl has two bottom teeth and a “beauty mark” on her right outer thigh, police said. At the time of her disappearance, she had a cold with a cough.

Boy Scouts failed to release info on Confidential Files on Pedophiles

The Boy Scouts of America and Scouts Canada both kept confidential files on pedophile scout leaders, but never reported them to police. As a result, pedophiles like Richard Turley were able to molest dozen boys over several decades in both Canada and the United States.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Secret “Perversion” Files in Canada and the United States

The CBC’s documentary news show The Fifth Estate has uncovered a secret system used by Scouts Canada to document sex abusers in an attempt to prevent them from being involved in scouting. The “confidential list” is kept in the national headquarters in Ottawa and can only be accessed by a handful of people. Canadian lawyer Rob Talach is calling for Scouts Canada to release its files to the police, indicating that it could provide additional evidence in cases that could still be prosecuted. It could, of course, also help prevent further abuse from taking place. There is some confusion about what exactly is contained in the files, as Scouts Canada claims it only keeps records of suspension and termination and that it shares information with the police and youth protective services.

In the United States, similar files exist. The documents, known as the “perversion files” have been released to lawyers that were suing the Boy Scouts of America. In 2010, Kerry Lewis was awarded $1.4 million because the Boy Scouts of America failed to protect him from an assistant Scoutmaster that they knew was a child molester. According to Seattle-based lawyer Tim Kosnoff, who had access to the files, around 5,000 files existed from the period of 1947 to 2005, of which about half were created between 1991 and 2005.

Richard Turley: Two Countries, Three Decades, Numerous Victims

The CBC has meticulously detailed the case of sex offender Richard Turley who began molesting boy scouts in Canada in 1971 when he was only 17 years old. Four years later, in 1975, he kidnapped a boy he met in California while visiting a local scout troop. Turley was arrested and pleaded guilty and committed to a state hospital where he stayed until 1976. After being released, he went back to California where he spent several summers working at a Boy Scout camp. After the last day of camp in 1979, he spent an extra night at camp with three boys and molested all of them. After one of the boys told his father, the camp director confronted Turley, who admitted what he had done and agreed to leave and return to Canada. No one reported the incident to the police, but a confidential “perversion file” was created at the Boy Scouts of America’s national office.
Turley returned to Canada, where he continued his involvement with Scouts Canada. Sometime in the 1980s, Turley was added to Scouts Canada’s “confidential list” and asked to resign from the Scouts. He was later arrested in 1988 for sexually assaulting a child at a swimming pool and served 30 days in jail. However, it wasn’t until a suspicious girlfriend reported him to police in 1995 that any significant investigation took place. Turley was eventually convicted of abusing four boys and spent five years in prison, followed by seven years of supervised parole. Turley, who has completed an intense sex-offender program, admits to having at least a dozen victims over the years and feels that scouting was an easy way to find boys to molest.

Scouts Exclusively Protecting Their Own

The system used by the Scouts in both Canada and the United States appeared to be uniquely designed to protect their own, with a complete lack of regard for the implications to those outside of their community. The CBC reported that a confidential 1972 policy memo urged Boy Scout officials who are dealing with molesters to “indicate [to the accused molester] that the BSA is not sharing this information with anyone and only wish him to stop all Scouting activity.” In the case of Turley, Scouts executive Buford Hill told the Los Angeles Times that “the parents of the three boys agreed to not press charges if he would leave…” and further added “hopefully he went back to Canada and that was their problem” (source: CBC).

Sex Abuse Claims Continue, Screening is Tightened

Meanwhile, in the United States, law suits continue to be filed against the Boy Scouts of America. Four new lawsuits have been filed recently, bringing the total to 35 complaints in 11 different states since 2007. Officials in both Canada and the United States claim that the screening of volunteers has been tightened in recent years. Turley, however, doesn’t think it is enough to stop people like him. He told the CBC, “Scouting is still a flawed movement. If I was a parent, I would never put my kids in Scouts.”

Employee Caught Sleeping in School Board Facility

The sudden retirement of Superintendent Michael Nassif may no longer be the biggest concern for the Saint Landry Parish School Board.

TV10 gained exclusive access to video showing a school board employee sleeping at public facilities after hours. The video clearly shows school board employee Mehe Lambert and her child unpacking blankets and pillows ready to sleep in a school board building for the night.

http://liarcatchers.com/electronic_surveillance.html

We obtained the video from a private investigator who was following Lambert on an unrelated issue.

The PI says she trailed Lambert and her 9 year old child on August 16th to the school board building in Opelousas where she videotaped her unpacking pillows and blankets from the back of her SUV preparing to take up shop for the night.

The investigator says Lambert was in the building for hours once everyone had already left for the day. Police later showed up after the investigator says she notified them because she felt the safety of Lambert’s children were in jeopardy.

There were no charges brought against Lambert because according to police she was given permission to be there. The investigator says when she brought the issue up to facility manager Clifton Carmen who says he gave her the okay to stay the night. School Board Assistant Superintendent Jim Olivier says the matter is under investigation.

Lambert was arrested Thursday in a police roundup in Opelousas on unrelated charges.

Occupy Eugene identifies missing man

A member of the Occupy Eugene movement helped police locate a missing nursing home patient Friday morning.

The 75-year-old man had walked away from a care facility in the West 28th Street neighborhood Thursday evening. Using the department’s A Child is Missing service, police phoned 1,400 homes in the area seeking help finding the man. Lane County Search and Resuce also was called in, and fliers were posted around the neighborhood.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

The man remained missing overnight. Shortly after 9 a.m. Friday, a member of the Occupy Eugene group, which has been holding a protest downtown, spotted a man who resembled the picture on the flier and called 911.

Officers located the man, identified him as the missing person and returned him to his residence.

Inmate seeks new trial

Columbus lawyer James D. Owen didn’t testify this week during a hearing to determine whether his affair with a client’s wife warrants a new trial for the man, who was convicted of murder.

http://liarcatchers.com/due_diligence.html

Robert Caulley, found guilty in 1997 of killing his parents in their Jackson Township home, also did not testify at the hearing in a Franklin County courtroom.

“We feel we put on enough evidence” without testimony from Owen or Caulley, said Assistant Ohio Public Defender Kimberly Rigby, who is handling Caulley’s bid for a new trial.

Visiting Common Pleas Judge John D. Martin heard from six witnesses on Wednesday, including Celeste Bowman, who was married to Caulley at the time of his murder trial. She testified that she had a sexual relationship with Owen that began before the trial and lasted beyond Caulley’s convictions for murder and voluntary manslaughter.

Caulley, 46, is serving a sentence of 25 years to life. He sat quietly throughout the hearing. Owen was not in the courtroom.

Rigby filed a motion in April for a new trial, saying the affair posed a “serious conflict of interest” for Owen and violated Caulley’s constitutional rights. Prosecutors contend that Caulley has failed to identify “a single instance in which Owen’s representation of the defendant was ineffective.”

A ruling by the judge is more than a month away.

In his opening statement, Rigby said the affair hurt Owen’s efforts to defend Caulley. Had the relationship been revealed during the trial, a mistrial would have resulted, she said.

Assistant Prosecutor Seth Gilbert said Owen provided a thorough defense for Caulley, who was facing the death penalty.

“Owen saved Robert Caulley’s life,” he said.

Bowman, who continues to insist that Caulley is innocent, testified that she revealed the affair recently because she was guilt-ridden.

Carey Gravelle, Bowman’s mother, said Owen was hired on a recommendation from Martin Yant, a Columbus-based private investigator.

Yant testified that he did investigative work for Owen on the Caulley case but stopped because “ Jim did not seem to be focusing on the case” after Bowman came to Columbus from Texas to help with the defense.

He said he was unaware of the affair but that Owen became “secretive and noncommunicative” within weeks of Bowman’s involvement in the case.

Bowman and Caulley had been married for about eight years at the time of the murder trial. They divorced in 2000.

Martin asked the prosecution and defense to submit written briefs, which are due two weeks after a transcript of the hearing is released. The defense then will have another week to submit a rebuttal brief.
