Wrongful Death Lincoln Co. Man Charged With Attempted Murder of Constable

A Lincoln County man is facing some serious charges after he allegedly attempted to suffocate a constable serving a warrant.

According to a criminal complaint, Travis Hancock was pulled over for expired tags by Constable Delbert Mitchell. When Mitchell ran Hancock through Bluegrass 911, a warrant came back.

Documents say that when Constable Mitchell informed Hancock of the warrant in his name, he began begging him to let him go. That’s when Hancock exited the vehicle and allegedly got into a physical altercation with the Constable.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Constable Mitchell told authorities that Hancock tried to flee. After pulling Hancock down to the ground, Mitchell says the suspect tried to hold his face down in the snow and mud in an attempt to suffocate him. After freeing himself, Mitchell told investigators that Hancock kicked him and gouged his eye with his thumb, causing damage to his cornea.

The documents state that after the assault, Hancock ran back to his vehicle, jumped in it and took off. Another person is said to have been in the vehicle at the time of the assault and the complaint alleges that the passenger never attempted to intervene or call for help.

Officials with the Lincoln County Detention Center, tell LEX 18 that Hancock’s warrant was for failure to pay fines. He would have most likely been out of jail in a few days. He is now charged with attempted murder of a police officer and fleeing and evading.

He will face a judge Monday afternoon.

Identity Theft Two Charged After Failed Rolex Purchase At Mall of America

Junshi Zhang, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Kesheng He, 37, of Orlando, Fla., were charged Monday in Hennepin County on suspicion of using other people’s identities to buy tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

An employee of a Mall of America jewelry store called police Jan. 20 to report suspicious use of a credit card. After He and an unknown woman had asked to see a Rolex watch, the woman said she would buy the watch and provided a credit card and Connecticut ID. The ID lacked a hologram, which concerned the store clerk, according to the criminal complaint.

After the clerk said she would need to call the credit card company to verify the woman’s identity, the woman asked for the ID and credit card back and left the store with He, the complaint states.

Zhang and He were found in a vehicle leaving the mall property, and police recovered credit cards — some of them cut up — that belonged to other people. Police also found merchandise totaling more than $65,000 and gift cards, according to the complaint.

The merchandise came from several Twin Cities stores, including American Eagle Outfitters, Wilson Leather and Kay Jewelers in Eagan.

Zhang told officers he was the driver and was forced to drive He and the woman, who investigators had not yet located, because he had a gambling debt and did not want to get beat up, the complaint states.

Zhang’s attorney, Jennifer Speas, declined to comment on the case. An attorney listed for He could not be reached Wednesday.

Pedophile Tracking Dallas, TX Police Arrest Two Men For Child Sex Trafficking

Dallas police allege that two men used social media to lure a 15-year-old girl into their child sex trafficking operation.

The victim, who was arrested as a runaway, told investigators said Mike Osorio and Rafael Rodas, both 20, used Facebook to make contact with her.

Dallas police Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin said the teen was “eventually forced into acts of prostitution with at least six males per day.”

The girl led police to an Oak Cliff residence in the 400 block of North Patton Avenue.

“Evidence supporting the victim’s statement of a sexual assault and human trafficking was found at the location,” Sherwin told reporters at a Saturday morning news conference.

Dallas police Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin talks about the arrests of Mike Osorio and Rafael Rodas, and appeals to any additional victims to come forward.

Rodas was arrested on Thursday and charged with compelling prostitution of a minor; engaging in organized criminal activity; sexual assault of a child; and trafficking of a child. Bond was set at $603,000.

Osorio was taken into custody on Friday and faces similar charges.

“We are concerned that there may be additional victims of these two out there,” Sherwin said. “We’re asking the public if you know these men —  or you know anyone that they’ve come into contact, especially young girls — we’d like information on that so we can get them the help they need.”

Wrongful Death FL Toddler Killed in Drive-By

A Florida toddler was shot multiple times during a “gang-related” drive-by shooting, cops said Saturday.

Little Aiden Michael McClendon, who was only 22 months old, was shot dead Friday around 6:10 p.m. in Jacksonville while sitting in a car, cops said in a statement.

Aiden was wounded at least three times in the upper body. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, but he could not be saved.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Investigators do not belive Aiden or anyone else sitting in the car were the intended targets.

“The only one hit in this entire barrage of bullets was this little 22-month-old,” Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Chief of Investigations Tom Hackney said.

“This little boy, Aiden Michael McLendon, has got my prayers tonight,” Hackney told First Coast News.

Cops suspect someone who lives on the block was the intended target.

A white vehicle was seen fleeing the mayhem on Spearing St.

“We are trying to locate any witnesses right now, because we need to get these dirt bags off the street,” Lt. George Grant said,

JSO officials ask anyone with information to call 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.

Sheriff Mike Williams said that local business leaders collected $20,000 for reward money for information that leads to an arrest in the heartbreaking murder.
