The baby was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital where she died.

Deputies searched the home of Chad Lewis where they say they found several marijuana plants. Lewis allegedly told the deputies that what was in his residence had not caused the baby’s problem.

According to a Barren County Sheriff, an autopsy revealed that the infant died of a closed head injury while in Lewis’ custody.

Wrongful Death Dallas, TX Woman Charged With Murder in Dentist Slaying

An arrest has been in connection to the death of a UK grad, Kendra Hatcher, who was gunned down in the parking garage of her high rise in Dallas, Texas last week.

The senseless crime shocked everyone who knew her, including LEX18’s Kristen Pflum, who went to Depauw University with Hatcher.

“I didn’t see the headline at the time I just saw her face and I thought ‘Kendra, I haven’t seen her in a while'”, said Pflum.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

After graduating from UK’s College of Dentistry, Hatcher moved to Dallas where police said she was followed into her apartment building’s garage. She was shot and killed as she was getting out of her car.

“I never ever would’ve thought something like this would happen to her,” said Pflum.

Shortly after Dallas Police released pictures of a Jeep fleeing the crime scene, they arrested Crystal Cortes and charged her with capital murder.

But according to court documents, the 23 year-old told investigators she wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger and that she and another man were hired to rob Hatcher.

“I couldn’t wrap my head around it and much less think of any reason why someone would want to do that to her,” said Pflum.

Cortes also told police the woman who was going to pay them $500 in exchange for Hatcher’s license was an ex-girlfriend of the man Hatcher was currently dating.

Meanwhile, friends are still trying to make sense of the crime.

“It’s not going to be the same without her,” Pflum said. “She was really making impact in what she did.”

As for the mystery man who Cortes said pulled the trigger, Dallas Police haven’t released any information about him.

Police are also not saying where the ex-girlfriend is or if she will be arrested.

Investigators in Wolfe County say a man shot his ex-wife then took off on a tractor.
