A Lexington man is in jail after police say he molested a thirteen-year-old girl.
Police arrested Ivan Satterfield, 22, on Friday. Officers say that on Tuesday Satterfield forced a thirteen-year-old girl to give him oral sex.

Satterfield also faces two charges that he provided synthetic marijuana to a twelve and thirteen-year-old.
A Kenton County man pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography.
Alan Newberry, 43, entered the plea Friday in Federal Court in Frankfort. According to the plea agreement, investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes Unit identified child porn files made available for download on the internet. Officials traced the source of those images to Newberry’s computer in Kenton County.

Authorities say when they searched his hard drive, they found thousands of sexually explicit photos and videos featuring children.
Newberry will be sentenced in September. He faces a maximum sentence of twenty years in prison.
A man wanted for sexual assault on a child in Colorado Springs, Colorado, may have had sexual contact with underage girls in at least six states, including Arizona and was located and arrested in Flagstaff on May 11, according to a Colorado Springs Police press release.
Police had been investigating Anthony Martinez, 26, since November 2014, they said, after developing information that he had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

They got an arrest warrant for Martinez in May, and worked with Homeland Security and the DPS to take him into custody without incident. He’s currently in the Coconino County jail.
Further investigations led police to believe he had illegal physical contact with underage girls in other states: Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, New York, and California.
“To date, detectives have determined that Mr. Martinez may have had varying degrees of contact with more than 140 underage girls…between 2011 and 2014,” the release said.
Detectives determined that Martinez made contact with the girls on social media websites, and, at times, made plans to meet them in person. He may have asked the girls to exchange photos with him.

A grand jury charged a Roanoke County woman this month with prostituting a teenage girl for sex in Arlington five years ago.
Authorities said Yasmin Arely Vargas, 26, participated in a conspiracy to profit from grooming and providing girls under age 18 to paying customers for sex.
She allegedly joined Francisco Arturo Pineda-Torres, whom court papers describe as her boyfriend and a gang member, in running a sex trafficking enterprise from fall 2009 to April 2010, according to the indictment, which was handed up June 18 in the Eastern District of Virginia federal court.
Both face a conspiracy charge and charges of child sex trafficking and child sexual exploitation for alleged activities involving a 14-year-old girl in late April 2010.
Once recruited, the girl was coached on forms of sexual engagement pleasing to customers, given alcohol, photographed, marketed and provided to customers for payment, the indictment said. Vargas and Pineda-Torres “harbored” the girl in their rented Arlington apartment, the indictment said.
Authorities took Vargas before a magistrate judge in Roanoke, who released her Wednesday with orders to report to court in Arlington on Friday
A Lexington woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the October 2013 stabbing death of her boyfriend.
Before hearing the sentence, she had something to say to the judge.
“This is something that I did not want for Antonio or our children and I am deeply sorry,” says Melinda Morgan.
Prior to the incident, Morgan had no history of violence, and is considered a low risk when it comes to re-offending. But a judge says she needs a drug treatment program.

Nearly two years ago, she snapped during a fight with her boyfriend, Antonio Epps, and stabbed him in the chest at their Laredo Drive apartment. The night of the stabbing, their two young children were there, taken from the home after the fact by their grandmother.
A deal would also amend Morgan’s conviction from murder to manslaughter.
A Metcalfe county man faces murder and other charges in the death of his girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter.
Authorities say 25-year-old Anthony Barbour of Summer Shade was indicted today in the death of Laynee Wallace, whose body was found inside a Barren County well on May 25. Barbour is also charged with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Laynee’s body was found a week after she disappeared. Barbour is behind bars at the Barren County Jail, and has already been charged with kidnapping in another case.
On Thursday, June 18, 2015 at approximately 12:41 p.m., the Fifth Third Bank branch in Independence, Kentucky was robbed. The subject escaped with more than $1,000, and a pursuit ensued involving multiple local law enforcement agencies, to include the Independence and Covington Police Departments and the Kenton County Sheriff’s Department. The subject was taken into custody by the Covington Police Department.

In 2014 alone, there were 3,879 bank robberies across the United States, which included 134 acts of violence, resulting in 63 injuries and 13 deaths. SAC Marshall expressed appreciation for the collaboration, cooperation, and partnership the FBI shares with state and local law enforcement partners in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He also advised that the Covington Resident Agency will continue to work closely with the Independence Police Department, Bellevue Police Department, Boone County Sheriff’s Office, and Covington Police Department, as well as other FBI field divisions to determine if today’s robbery is connected to a series of bank robberies committed by the Sock Hat Bandit in the tri-state area over the past few months.
A former Montgomery County official accused of stealing $60 thousand in public funds faces two years in prison under a plea deal with the Attorney General’s Office. However, the sentence of 40-year-old Myra Chenault of Mt. Sterling will be diverted for three years.
Chenault entered a guilty plea today in Franklin Circuit Court to one count of abuse of the public trust, a Class D felony which could have earned her five years behind bars. As part of the deal, Chenault agreed to repay the money and give up her law license.

The funds Chenault was accused of misappropriating were administered by the Administrative Office of the Courts. The scheme took place between January 2013 and September 2014, when she was Montgomery County Master Commissioner.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a stabbing at the L’oreal USA Distribution Center in Walton, Kentucky.
Reportedly the stabbing was a result of a disagreement between two employees that began inside the facility and then carried outside into the parking lot.
Brandon Collinsworth, 24 of Covington, Kentucky was flown via Air Care to University Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio with numerous stab wounds to his neck, side, and back. His condition is unknown at this time.

Deputies are currently focusing their efforts on identifying and locating the perpetrator. There is no word on a suspect or motive.
L’oreal has released a statement on the matter reading, “We are cooperating with local authorities as they investigate this incident, which occurred near our Walton, Kentucky distribution facility. There is nothing more important to us than the safety of our workforce and we will do everything we can to support the investigation.”
