The Freeport Police Department is asking for our help to find a missing 16-year-old.

Police say Emilie Robbins was reported as a runaway/missing person and was last seen around 6 p.m. on June 19th when she left her home in the 1300 block of South Locust Avenue in Freeport.

Police say they do not believe there was any foul play involved in her disappearance. She is thought to be in the Rockford or Chicago areas.

State Police have released new details in the murder of an elderly Rockcastle County woman while the two women accused in her death faced a judge.

Two KSP detectives were interviewed as witnesses during Monday’s hearing for Tabitha Howard and Kimberly Slusher. During their interview, they revealed more tragic details in the murder of 86-year-old Mary Hinton.

Detectives say Howard and Slusher went to Hinton’s home in Livingston with plans to rob her and get money that would be used for meth. Instead, police say, they attacked her with a flat screen television and a gun.

Immediately after that, police say that the two put a pillow over her face to make sure she was dead. They say blood and hair on the television confirm that it was used as a murder weapon.

Sources say that Slusher and Howard are each blaming each other for the murder.

Detectives say after the murder, Howard could be seen at at least six different ATMs using the victim’s card to withdraw money.

The case has been sent to a grand jury.

The Tyler Police Department is investigating a missing person case involving a 22-year-old black female.

Krystal Rochell Dixon was last seen at 7:30 p.m. Friday night leaving ETMC.

She is five foot and nine inches, 210 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing multicolored halter style dress. She was last seen possibly leaving with a friend in a silver Lincoln Continental.

Two eastern Kentucky men were arrested after a video of an unusual trip to Walmart went viral.

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy Smith went into the South Williamson Walmart naked, shouted “I’m on fire!”, then poured milk all over himself. He then allegedly ran around the store.

Deputies said David Daniels recorded it and a third person waited in a getaway car.

Smith and Daniels are charged with indecent exposure and criminal mischief.

Holding hands and exchanging hugs, the family of 15-year-old Kayla Clark met at Porter High School Saturday to hand out flyers and canvass the Porter and surrounding communities in an effort locate the missing girl.

Kayla went missing June 14 from the Porter area and family believes she is still in the vicinity.

“It’s gut wrenching,” Kayla’s mother Melissa Faust said during the gathering. “There aren’t any parenting manuals that teach you how to deal with this. I grieve, not because we think anything serious has happened to her, but it’s a different form of grief. We hope she comes home soon.”

The family has coordinated their efforts with the Center for Search and Investigations to search the area for Kayla and have also contacted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department to report Kayla missing.

On Saturday, family members and friends went through the neighborhood adjacent to Porter High School to hand out flyers with Kayla’s information as well as numbers to the sheriff’s department and a private investigator who has also been working with the family.

“We have a billboard with all of Kayla’s information in the 1960 area that was put by Tejas Toyata and we’re trying to get the word out to everyone,” John Clark, Kayla’s father, said. “From what we understand, she left with the clothes on her back and she takes daily medication; we need to find her soon.”

The main areas they have searched for Kayla includes Porter, Kingwood and Conroe but they are expanding their search to include Cleveland, north Houston areas and the Champions Forest area.

“At this point, we know she walked away from home but we aren’t sure who she is with or if she is capable of getting home on her own,” private investigator Scott Cornett said.

Kayla is described as 5’11’’ tall, weighing 275 pounds with brown eyes and brown/burgundy hair.

Lexington police say they have a suspect in the case of an overnight stabbing.

Around three this morning, officers were called to the shell station on Richmond road for a man who had been stabbed. The victim told police he had been stabbed in front of the “Club Noa Noa” on Woodhill Drive.

Police tell us the man’s wounds are not considered life threatening. Officers say they do have a suspect in mind, as the victim said he was stabbed by someone he knew.

The family of a Madison County teenager who went missing two years ago has launched a website to help find her.

Brookelyn Farthing was 18 years old when she was last seen on June 22, 2013 at a home in Berea.

The website, FindBrookeFarthing.com has all of the information on Farthing’s disappearance. A portion of the site is devoted to Farthing’s sister’s perspective on what happened:

“Since Brooke has gone missing I’ve learned many details about the evening and early morning hours leading up to her disappearance. After attending Papaw’s birthday celebration Brooke, Paige and our cousin went to a birthday party off Red Lick Road. Paige and our cousin decided to leave shortly after dropping Brooke off. Brooke had taken her belongings with her to spend the evening with a close friend; however those plans fell through after arriving at the party. Once the party ended Brooke caught a ride with a guy she knew. In the early morning hours Brooke spoke with Paige by phone and told her she would be home once a friend got off work and could give her a ride. Brooke sent several text messages making plans for the next day. She also sent messages about feeling unsafe where she was at.

Brooke never came home that morning and has not been heard from since. The guy she caught a ride when leaving the party reported a house fire at his residence early Saturday morning. Brooke’s personal belongings were later located at the residence however she was no where to be found. My sister had no reason to runaway.”

Over the last two years, hundreds of people have searched thousands of acres in several counties looking for any sign of the missing woman.

According to the new website, the reward for information in Farthing’s disappearance has reached $14,000.

A man arrested Friday in connection with an armed robbery in Lexington has now been charged with robbing three gas stations, as well.

Kenneth Martin Andrews, 39, was originally charged with robbing the Game Stop on New Circle Road back in March.

Investigators have now charged Andrews with robbing a Marathon on North Broadway on March 1, a Circle K on Pimlico Parkway on March 24, and a Shell Station on Nicholasville Road on April 17.

Police said Andrews may have been working with another person in at least one of the robberies.
