Private Detective: Lincoln County Deputies Arrest Man Wanted in AZ for More Than 30 Years

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man wanted in Arizona since 1983 on Monday.

Officials say police from Cochise County, Arizona, contacted Lincoln County deputies and tipped them off that a parole violator could be living in the county. Deputies located Darrell Bullock, 51, at his job at 150 Auto Sales and arrested him on an outstanding Arizona parole violation warrant.

Police in Arizona say Bullock was convicted of car theft, along with some other crimes in 1982. He left the state while on probation in the following year.

The Lincoln County sheriff said Bullock told him he was arrested for DUI while driving through the Cumberland Gap tunnel years ago, but nobody realized he was a fugitive from another state.

The sheriff said Bullock lived in Kentucky 25 of his 32 years on the run.

Bullock is being held at the Lincoln County Regional Jail pending extradition back to Arizona.

Pedophile Tracking Former Maricopa County, AZ Deputy Arrested

A former Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been arrested on child sex charges.

“We uncovered a predator that had never been arrested for incidents that took place years ago and it appears that he found another child to victimize in 2014,” Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said in a statement.

Michael Valles, 44, was arrested Thursday.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Valles allegedly had sexual contact multiple times with a 14-year-old girl last year. Sexually explicit text messages from Valles were found on the girl’s phone.

Valles is also accused of an unspecified child sex crime in 2011, when he was employed by MCSO. Though he was investigated by his employer at the time, no charges were filed. PCSO said it was later learned Valles still had access to the victim.

Fraud Investigation Tampa Doctor Arrested

An eight-month undercover operation has led to the arrest of Tampa chiropractor Douglas Price.

Investigators say he paid patients to come to his clinics in both South Tampa and Winter Haven then filed bogus insurance claims.

 http://liarcatchers.com/fraud_investigation.html

State agents showed up Monday morning at Price’s Davis Island home, knocked and took him into custody. Within minutes another team of law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on his Auburndale clinic.

Investigators say they’ve worked undercover since last October building a case involving insurance fraud and patient brokering. He’s accused of paying patients to come to his clinic for treatment, which is illegal.

The investigation focused on both Price’s South Tampa practice, which closed six weeks ago, and his Auburndale office, the Florida Pain, Trauma and Injury Clinic.

Agents searched the Auburndale office in search of more evidence, including patient and bank records. Officers also arrested one of the employees, Sonya Rivera. She’s accused of setting up the patients and facilitating the scheme.

Warrants were issued for two others described as “runners,” people who would collect money from the doctor in exchange for steering patients into his practice.

Investigators said Price would pay patients up to $1,000 each. He’s charged with three counts of patient brokering. The others face one count.

Next they will comb through the records confiscated at the Auburndale location for more evidence.

Investigators also plan to share their findings with the Department of Health, which could take action against Price’s license.

Arson Investigation Woman In Jail After String of Fires at Apartment Complex

A Lexington woman is in jail tonight accused of setting a string of fires at her apartment complex.

Investigators say Danitra Ross set six separate fires, and that charred brick is still visible from the road. Firefighters were here just Saturday for another fire, which they say the 38-year-old set on purpose.

“There actually were a total of six incidents,” says Battalion Chief Mark Blankenship, “five when there were fires started, one when there was an attempt to start a fire.”

http://liarcatchers.com/arson_investigation.html

Investigators say the woman’s method was to set her shutters on fire. A judge has kept her bond at $30,000 cash, noting that she’s considered a danger to others. She’s charged with five counts of arson and one attempted arson. Those who live at Eastridge can’t understand how Ross or anyone can continue to set fires over a month’s time before being arrested.

Private Detective: Two Ashland Men Sentenced in Money Laundering Conspiracy

A federal judge sentenced two men from Ashland, Ky., today for conspiring to commit money laundering, by stripping stolen motorcycles of their original identifying marks, rebuilding and retitling them for innocent buyers.

U.S. District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove sentenced Richard Meade, 67, to two years in prison and Mark Justice, 55, to 18 months in prison, for conspiracy to commit money laundering by illegally transferring the ownership of motorcycles, aiding and abetting money laundering, and aiding and abetting possession of a vehicle and vehicle parts with altered vehicle identification numbers (VIN). At a later date, the Court will determine a restitution amount to compensate the original owners and insurance companies.

Both defendants were convicted in 2013. Evidence established that motorcycles had been stolen at motorcycle rallies in South Carolina, South Dakota and Florida, by a group of thieves who brought them back to Kentucky to strip them and rebuild them. They removed parts of the stolen motorcycles and replaced them with aftermarket parts bearing different VIN numbers, to conceal that they had been stolen. The stolen motorcycles were registered in Kentucky, with new VIN numbers. In 2006 and 2007, Meade and Justice took some of the newly registered motorcycles, sold them and helped provide fraudulent documents for the retitling process.

Six other defendants previously pleaded guilty and have been sentenced for their roles in the case.

The FBI and Kentucky State Police identified nearly 200 victims in this case, which include the original motorcycle owners and insurance companies.

Kerry B. Harvey, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Howard S. Marshall, Special Agent in Charge, FBI, and Rodney Brewer, Kentucky State Police Commissioner jointly announced the sentence.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

The investigation was conducted by the FBI, Kentucky State Police, the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Bureau of Investigations, Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and Ohio State Patrol. Assistant United States Attorneys Kenneth R. Taylor and Erin Roth prosecuted this case on behalf of the federal government.
