Drug Dog Sweep 30 Lbs Of Cocaine Seized in Cobb, GA

Three men are behind bars at the Cobb County jail after police say they were caught trafficking large amounts of cocaine through the county.

Juan Trinidad Simental, 34, was arrested on May 27 after a drug dog discovered a cooler filled with over 12 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 75 near SR 120, the Marietta Daily Journal said. Police told the MDJ that the street value of the cocaine was over $500,000. Simental faces felony drug trafficking charges.

On May 31, narcotics officers observing a suspicious Chrysler parked at a Target on Windy Hill Road saw two men arrive at the vehicle, with one of them putting a dealership license plate on it before getting in and driving away. Police sprung into action and soon had the Chrysler and the Mercedes which arrived at the scene pulled over, the MDJ said.

Inside the Chrysler, police found over 15 pounds of cocaine worth just over $700,000. The driver of the Chrysler, Ever Bellon-Mandujano, gave police a series of contradictory and nonsensical answers as to why he was driving the Chrysler, the MDJ said. He was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and driving without a valid license.

Inside the Mercedes, police found over $3,000 in cash, a forged Mexican passport, and Alejandro Renteria-Blanco. Renteria-Blanco was charged with drug trafficking, forgery, and driving without a license, the MDJ reported.

Missing Person Search Continues for Magoffin Co. Woman

Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing Magoffin County woman. Rescue crews spent hours on Wednesday looking for 40-year old Tabitha Ann Dotson, and now her family is convinced something is wrong.

“Just let us know ‘I am okay,’ that’s it,” said Debbie Howard, as she begged for answers about her daughters disappearance.

It’s a plea from a private family on Flatfork Road. That’s where Tabitha lives surrounded by trees, terrain and plenty of loved ones. It’s also where she vanished into the night.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“Nothing like this has ever happened,” said James Howard, Tabitha’s father. “She has never done nothing like this,” added Debbie.

Tabitha’s parents said their beloved daughter is a devoted mother. On Monday night she put her husband and children to bed, then early Tuesday morning she was missing.

“My granddaughter called and said she couldn’t find her mother. And we got out and looked, and looked, and looked and couldn’t find any trace of her,” said James.

Family said Tabitha doesn’t have a license. They said they aren’t sure if she left on her own, if she was taken or there was an accident.

“When they all got up the next morning she was gone. Nothing was missing, no personal items, the only thing they can’t find is her IPad,” said Chief Carter Conley, with the Magoffin County Rescue Squad.

Family called in search and rescue for help on Wednesday. Crews scoured all of the roads and woods within three square miles of the house.

“I never thought that I would ever be walking up and down the side of the road looking for my daughters body,” said James.

“We went into the area and divided up, actually had about six teams yesterday. About two or three to a team, going in different directions,” said Conley.

After three hours of searching, the rescue crews came up empty handed. Now Kentucky State Police are asking the public to keep a sharp eye. Dotson is described as approximately 4′ 11″ and weighs 195 lbs. She was last seen wearing blue jeans with holes, a black tee shirt with fire flames, and black boots.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at 1-(800) 222-5555 or (606) 433-7711. Callers may remain anonymous.

All Dotson’s family wants, is to have her back. “Tell us whether you’re alive or not, that’s all we need to know,” said Debbie.

Wrongful Death Additional Details Emerge in Murder of Elderly Rockcastle County Woman

Court documents reveal new details about the victim and the suspects in a deadly home invasion earlier this week in Rockcastle County.

The body of Mary Alice Hinton, 86, was found late Tuesday night inside of her home on Red Hill Road in Livingston.

Kimberly Slusher, 35, and Tabitha Howard, 30, are accused of killing Hinton. They face several charges, including murder, robbery, and burglary.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

According to arrest citations, around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Hinton was assaulted inside of her home during a robbery and she “died from apparent blunt force trauma”. Her body was found about five hours later.

On Wednesday afternoon, State Police said they tracked Slusher and Howard, identified in court documents as “girlfriends”, to Copper Creek Road, where the women took off into a wooded area. Troopers said a K-9 found the two hiding in a briar thicket and bit both of the women.

Investigators said the pair admitted to using drugs, earlier in the day.

Slusher and Howard are also charged with fleeing and evading police, public intoxication, and resisting arrest.

“We didn’t want revenge. We wanted justice and I think justice is being served,” the victim’s nephew, Danny Hinton told LEX 18’s Josh Breslow on Thursday. “The neighborhood is a little bit safer. They won’t be doing this to anybody else. That’s comforting.”

Family members describe Mary Alice Hinton as a kind, sweet, and trusting woman. They said she couldn’t see or hear very well and she used a walker to get around, but she was independent and lived alone.”[Slusher] said that when she was 7 years old, Mary made her some cupcakes,” Danny Hinton said. “Maybe that’s how she found out that Mary lived alone and now she’s progressed so far along that nothing bothered her anymore and it’s easy pickens.”

“Mary wasn’t one to hold a grudge,” said Monnie Leap, the victim’s great niece. “She would’ve forgiven them. She would have.”
