Police officers in Breathitt County say they’ve made an arrest in a kidnapping case. According to Jackson Police, a woman was taken against her will by three people around 5 a.m. Friday morning on Town Hill Road.

Investigators say the woman was bound with tape, assaulted, threatened with weapons and tormented for about 9 hours. Her vehicle was also taken and damaged.

At some point, the suspects brought the woman back to Town Hill Road, where a friend of the victim was able to rescue her, according to police. The victim was taken to the hospital was she was treated and released for her injuries.

One of the suspects, Sharon Campbell, was arrested Saturday. Two other suspects, David Haddix and William Gardner, were arrested Sunday morning.

Police say the woman was an ex-girlfriend of Haddix. The suspects are facing a wide range of charges, including kidnapping, wanton endangerment, assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, terroristic threatening and criminal mischief.

Sunday marks exactly 3 weeks since a Lincoln County man went missing. Friends and family are organizing a rally to increase the reward for information on what happened to him.

Michael Gorley’s family is offering a $1,000 reward for information on what happened to him, and with the help of a bike rally fundraiser this coming Saturday, they’re hoping the reward for answers will be much larger.

“It is a mother’s worst nightmare. Three weeks today. Three weeks,” said Sandra Hasty, Michael’s mother.

She says the 38-year-old father of two was last seen walking toward Junction City along Knob Lick Road in Lincoln County. State police are investigating, but have not released any information on his disappearance.

Hasty says she knows her son is no longer alive.

“They’re no longer considering my son a missing person, which means that they have leads into what happened and who was involved,” she said.

Hasty says she just wants to find her son’s body. The family says all proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to reward the person who brings police to Michael Gorley’s body.

“We don’t have any answers, and I feel like if the reward was higher, that people involved would start talking on each other,” said Michael’s friend, Ashley Lear.

The bike rally fundraiser, which includes a silent auction, will kick off at noon this coming Saturday at Junction City Park. It’s $15 for one rider, and $5 for a passenger. Police are searching for an 83-year-old woman missing since Wednesday from the North Side Ravenswood neighborhood.

Joan Fivelson’s land lady told police she had not seen Fivelson since Wednesday, according to a missing persons alert from Area North detectives issued Saturday. Fivelson lives in the 4900 block of North Winchester.

She frequents Levy Center, a senior citizen facility at Lawrence and Damen, and was also released three weeks ago from Swedish Covenant Hospital, the alert said.

Fivelson, who wears glasses, is described as a 5-foot-4, 120-pound white woman with blue eyes, gray hair and fair skin, the alert said.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is seeking help locating Kaden Lanphear, missing since since around 7 a.m. Saturday, June 6. Kaden has been diagnosed with autism. He is reported to have walked away from his residence in the vicinity of R Street and Broadway in Needles.

Kaden is eight years old, about 4 feet tall, 58 pounds, green eyes, blond, with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a grey striped shirt with black sleeves, blue jeans and black shoes.

Clyde Winstead is glad 64-year-old William McCullers is currently behind bars in the Washington County Jail.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is accusing the area pastor of ten counts of lewd and lascivious acts on four victims under the age of 12. Although he’s only been charged and not convicted, neighbors say they’re not surprised.

“It happens in schools and everywhere else,” Winstead said. “Depravity of man. That’s just the way it is. Any of us are capable of something like that, but God forbid.”

A former occasional pastor at the Tabernacle of Praise in Chipley, deputies say McCullers was on the run with his wife Thursday before being captured in Dothan later that night.

“He needs to be punished for this,” said resident Melody Riddle. “You know? Like I said because damages and destroys lots of lives because were talking about souls.”

Souls that residents say shouldn’t change their thoughts on the church, but make them more aware of its higher-ups.

“We have grandchildren under the age of 12 and I can imagine that it would make you a little more suspicious of everybody. I would be a little more suspicious of the pastors and everybody now. Although you shouldn’t judge,” mentioned Riddle.

No word on whether his wife, Linda McCullers, will face any charges.

“Well I wouldn’t say on TV what i think they ought to do to him but I’m glad they caught him,” said Winstead.

His bond has been set at $500,000. Officials say the alleged incidents did not happen at a church McCullers served as pastor. He has been ordered to not contact the victims in this case.

A grand jury indicted a former color guard instructor on several sexual abuse charges.

According to our sister station WFIE, Justin Graham, an instructor at Apollo High School in Owenesboro, is accused of having sexual contact with minors on several occasions between 2011 and 2014. According to the indictment, it involved males and females under the age of 18, some of which were students.

The school district let Graham go earlier this year for reasons other than conduct related to the indictment.

Graham has not yet been arrested for the charges.

The driver accused of badly damaging a Franklin County Deputy Cruiser is under arrest for driving under the influence. Officials also tell LEX 18 that this incident is not the first time the driver has been charged with DUI.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says Kevin Jones was under the influence last night, when he slammed his car into the back of a deputy’s cruiser on the side of the road. As it turns out, this is Jones second DUI offense.

It happened around 11 o’clock along Louisville Road in Frankfort.

Deputy Justin Murvachick was working a crash involving a deer and had just stepped out of his cruiser. His emergency lights were on.

That’s when the Sheriff’s office says Jones’ car suddenly came crashing into the back of cruiser, leaving the entire rear end a mangled mess.

The sheriff’s office says they’re thankful no one was inside the car at the time and no one was hurt.

Jones is being held at the Franklin County Detention Center.

Lexington Police are looking for a stolen pest control truck that may contain dangerous chemicals.

The truck, belonging to Elite Pest Control, was stolen in the Friday morning near one of the busiest roads in Lexington. According to police, the suspect was noticed within seconds after taking off from the Nicholasville Road Walgreen’s parking lot. Two individuals called 911 and complained about a reckless driver in a pest control truck.

LEX 18 is told that one of the chemicals on the truck is Deltamethrin. According to the EPA, the chemical is used to control a number of pests including fleas, ants, cockroaches and spiders. Elite would not say what, if any, other chemicals were on the truck.

Elite Pest Control would not comment to LEX 18. Lexington Police PIO, Sherelle Roberts, explained the concern Lexington Police have for the general public’s safety regarding the stolen truck.

“The cause for concern in this particular situation is on the back of the truck, there are some pesticides and insecticides that could be dangerous if people come into contact with them,” explains Roberts. “But, I think if anybody encounters the truck, it is best not to touch or go near it, but simply call us and I think you will be safe.”

The white 1998 Chevy S-10 with Elite Pest Control stickers was last seen headed south on Nicholasville Road.

A police dog aided officers in their arrest of a man allegedly possessing methamphetamine May 26, according to an Alexander County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Ryan Lewis Craig, 31, of Conover, was charged with one count of trafficking methamphetamine with possession, one count of trafficking methamphetamine with transportation, one count of possession of a controlled substance on jail premises, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of fail to dim headlamps, according to the news release.
