Private Detective: Robber Used Stun Gun On Lexington Bank Teller

Police are searching for the man who officers said used a stun gun on a bank teller during a Lexington robbery.

Surveillance cameras inside the Chase Bank on Richmond Road near New Circle Road captured images of the robber walking in around 9:30 a.m. Friday with a bandana covering his face. He was also wearing sunglasses, a ball cap, green pants, a grey jacket, and possibly even fake dreadlocks.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“He jumped over the gate on the side to get behind the counter and, at that time, he stunned one of the female tellers,” Lt. Kevin Metcalf with the Lexington Police Department told LEX 18’s Josh Breslow.

Police said the bank teller was not hurt.

The man got away with some cash and the K9 unit was brought in to help search for the robber. He is described as a 5’9” light-complected black male with a thin build.

“During the day? In broad daylight? It really is shocking,” said Pamela Brown, the owner of Pam’s Dry Cleaning, which is located behind the bank.

Brown said she has been in business for more than 30 years and, while the area has seen its share of crime, she has never heard of anything so violent.

“People are getting so brave anymore, honestly. So brave. But I’m just glad that she didn’t get hurt really bad. That’s the important thing,” Brown said. “It’s gonna make me be a lot more cautious. I can tell you that right now.”

Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to contact the Lexington Police Department.

Missing Person Donna Ingersoll of Wabasha, MN Missing 25 Years

It’s been 25 years since Donna Ingersoll disappeared into thin air, yet the town of Wabasha is still reeling. Now, law enforcement believes it is the closest it will ever be to cracking the case, with a national search team joining them in the mission to find her body.

This weekend, the Wabasha Police Department will be joined by a search team out of North Carolina with 40 cadaver dog teams with the hopes of putting to rest nearly a quarter century of rumors and uncertainty. The group is also armed with something else: several new leads.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“We’re basically talking about a person here that just vanished into thin air,” said Wabasha Police Chief Jim Warren. “This ain’t to bring up any bad memories for any family or nothing like that but, this solely is about Donna Ingersoll and her family.”

Warren has put two years into trying to solve the unfinished puzzle of the disappearance of 25-year-old Donna Ingersoll, along with a cold case board unit within the department.

“That’s kind of where we’re at in a nutshell, and that’s why this book is so thick,” he said as he thumbed through the original files of Ingersoll’s  case.

For 25 years, the city has grappled with what could have happened to the young woman, who disappeared after an argument with her boyfriend at her home on the night of December 16, 1990. With no memorial to remember her by, a community is left with just questions.

“You know there’s a lot of rumors out there of people that were involved and that’s what they are–rumors,” Warren said. “If I can say ‘hey, family, this portion is/was rumor and this portion had nothing to do with you,’ then I think they would welcome that.”

Now, Warren believes he has a chance, although small.

“Less than 1 percent chance of finding anything, but on the same token we’ve been there before,” he said, pointing to another cold case solved in recent history. He believes in a sliver of faith in finding the missing piece to this missing person puzzle.

This weekend, Warren will be armed with a crew of 80 people and 40 cadaver dogs to scour miles of land for any clues that point to Donna. He also has several new leads including a report of human remains found in the mid-90s on a road where another lead also alleges suspicious activity connected to Donna’s then boyfriend.

“After this portion if we don’t get so far, I’m sure we’ll invite that team back and finish,” he said.

Working with evidence that is anything but clear, Warren still has hope of cracking this case.

“I didn’t know how big of an undertaking was going to be at first and people tried to warn me,” Warren said. “People on the board, they said, ‘this is a lot to do but I’m up for the challenge.”

Authorities considered the boyfriend a prime suspect, but he committed suicide a year after Donna went missing.

The teams plan on going through five search sites this Saturday and Sunday. Look for more on the NewsCenter this weekend.

Pedophile Tracking Sex Offender Downloaded and Shared Child Porn at Library

Convicted child molester and level 2 sex offender Malcolm Bruce Wheeler Jr. is being investigated by the King County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly downloading child pornography through the Covington Public Library’s wireless Internet, and then sharing those images with another man in the library’s restroom.

Wheeler is also being investigated in a possible child-luring case, after “befriending and playing fantasy games with a minor male at the Covington Library,” according to police documents.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

The attempted luring first came to investigators’ attention in April, around the time Wheeler’s brother reported his concerns to sheriff’s deputies that Wheeler was “spending all of his time at the Covington Library since losing his job several months ago.”

According to documents, the intended luring victim often skipped school to hang out at the library and play a fantasy card game called “Magic” – often with Wheeler.  The boy’s family “believed it was odd that a man in his 30’s or 40’s was playing fantasy games with minors at the library all day.”  When family members searched on-line, they learned Wheeler was a convicted sex offender, according to police documents.

King County sheriff’s deputies have been in contact with Wheeler, who “admitted to accessing the Covington public library’s wireless internet with the intent to download or view images of child pornography while he was in the library,” according to documents recently filed in King County Superior Court.

Wheeler also admitted to “intentionally accessing, viewing and sharing these images of child pornography via his cell phone with another adult male while they sat in individual stalls in the men’s restroom of the Covington public library.”

He also admitted to investigators that he shared “images of child pornography on more than one occasion over the course of a couple of months with his cell phone at the Covington public library.”

Wheeler has not been arrested and was not available for comment on Thursday.  Meanwhile, his roommate told KIRO 7 Wheeler has been banned from the Covington Library, but no one from the King County Library System returned multiple calls seeking more information and comment.

KIRO 7 has also learned that Wheeler also was in trouble with the Department of Corrections in 2013 for viewing pornography at the King County branch library in Kent.
