South Bend Metro Homicide have discovered a body in a remote area of Marshall County they believe to be the body of missing person 22-year-old Alma Del Real.

Police have a suspect in custody, but have not released a name.

Officials say even though they have a suspect in custody, the investigation is still ongoing.

Autopsy will be conducted on Thursday.

The organization Missing Children Minnesota says the investigation continues into the case of a missing six-year-old girl taken from her father over a custody battle since early December.

Eden Marie Nunn is believed to have been taken by her non-custodial mother in Colorado and could come to the  Rochester area.

According to Missing Children Minnesota, Eden Marie Nunn is at the center of a custody dispute between her mother and father. The child’s mother is 25-year-old Brittany Nunn who once lived in Rochester and attended Rochester Community and Technical College.

Family member Dawn Clevenger spoke with ABC 6 News today as says authorities believe Brittany Nunn and her current husband have Eden Marie and three of her other children, one of which is a 5-year-old girl Gema Lynne, who is also at the center of another custody dispute with another man. That child is also considered a missing person.  A Colorado court has determined that Eden Marie is in danger. She has been missing since December 1 and was last seen in Lakewood, County.

Missing Children Minnesota says besides connections to Rochester, the group could also be in Wyoming, Colorado, or California.

Clevenger speculates the family must be getting some kind of financial support from an outside source since they went missing.

Eden Marie weighs around 65 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She has pierced ears and asthma.

Authorities say an Idaho fugitive accused of recording his sexual assault on an 8-year-old girl and distributing the video has been arrested in Nebraska.

The U.S. Marshals Service said in a news release Tuesday that 41-year-old Justin Dixson was arrested without incident early Sunday morning outside a Lincoln motel.

Will Iverson with the Marshals Service says a woman traveling with Dixson was interviewed and released.

Iverson says Dixson remains in Nebraska, awaiting extradition to Idaho.

Dixson’s public defender in Idaho didn’t return a call to The Associated Press on Tuesday.

The service says Dixson had been arrested on the Idaho charges in April but had bonded out. Iverson says a warrant was issued after Dixson missed an Idaho hearing.

A Gallatin County couple that was found dead in a car last Wednesday apparently died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Investigators say it only took about an hour and a half for 32 year old David Long and his friend 28 year old Violet Iles to be overcome by the deadly fumes. Sheriff Josh Neale said “It permeated up through the floor and got inside the car and as they were sleeping, unfortunately they perished.”

The two were in the back of a Dodge Neon when David’s brother, Kevin Long, found them. Kevin says he was making sure his kids got on the school us when he noticed the two still in the running car. He didn’t think much of the sight until he realized neither person was breathing, “Because the air could not escape, you have better chances of breathing if you got a window down, you can still absorb the heat from inside car without closing up all the windows.”

As of the time of this report, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office had not released a report on the incident, officials say they are awaiting the results of a toxicology report.

Kentucky State Police are searching for a child they say was taken by the boyfriend of her mother.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2015 Kentucky State Police Post 15 Columbia received a call of a missing 2 year old female who has been missing since Sunday morning.

The child is believed to be with the boyfriend of the biological mother and is being sought at this time. He is Anthony Dale Barbour (25) of Summer Shade. Barbour is 5’11”, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes with some facial hair. Barbour is believed to have a .22 rifle in his possession and should be considered armed and dangerous. He is believed to be operating a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, red in color bearing KY plate# 143PCT.

The missing Gallatin County teen has been found, authorities.

Officials say Madalynn Daigler, 13, was last seen about 4 p.m. Tuesday when she got off her school bus on Timberline Road in the northern part of the county.

Officials say searchers found two bags they think belong to Daigler Wednesday morning.

The bags contained clothing, food, a map and some notes. Officials say investigators found a note in her school locker indicating she planned to run away.

Police in Frankfort have arrested a man in connection with a violent home invasion last week.

The incident happened at a home on Hawthorne Drive around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Police say the victim’s husband went to work and left the garage door open. A man entered through the garage and tried to sexually assault the victim. Officers say the woman fought the man off with her fists and scared him away.

Police arrested Matthew Hyatt, 24, Tuesday night and charged him with burglary and sexual abuse

It was a crash that cost two people their lives and caused a traffic nightmare.

By 11:15 p.m. Tuesday evening the southbound stretch of I-75 near mile marker 71 in Rockcastle County was reopened. It was shut down for more than nine hours after a wreck that involved six tractor trailers and one car.

The sea of tractor trailers, with miles and miles of cars, was only a small sign of the horror that was ahead on Tuesday.

“Just glanced over and it looked like a car that had been through a compacter. I mean, it was just like a sardine can,” said George Keen, as he drove in the northbound lanes past the wreck.

“Fire, it was smoke and fire. It was just, it was horrible,” said Janet Montgomery.

Montgomery was inside one of the six tractor trailers in the crash. Kentucky State Police Vehicle Enforcement said the cause of the crash has not been determined, but it appears it happened when traffic slowed in a construction zone.

“Traffic was stopped, and it was just a chain reaction. Truck, after truck, after truck,” said Montgomery.

The last to hit was a FedEx semi, which burst into flames and killed the driver. State police identify the man as 41-year-old Toby Caudill of Glenford, Ohio.

In the middle of the trucks was a car. The Rockcastle County Deputy Coroner said the driver, 34-year old Jonathan D. Roark, died on scene. State Police said Roark is a military man from the Barbourville area.

Kentucky State Police said a third driver was hurt in the wreck, however he was released from the hospital with minor injuries.

“You don’t see stuff like that everyday, it’s not something that you want to see,” said Montgomery.

The cleanup was extensive because of the charred mess, and large commercial vehicles involved. It took hours to clear the debris and for investigators to reconstruct the crash.

For drivers, that meant hours and hours of waiting for the interstate to reopen. Drivers were diverted to U.S. 25, however that too got congested with a large amount of traffic.

“It was terrible, it was a lot of traffic backed up, thousands of cars probably,” said Steve Witt. He and his family sat on the interstate for around two hours before pulling off at the Berea Artisan Center.

Dozens of drivers took refuge at the Berea Artisan Center, finding hotels, alternate routes or a place to wait as the death and damage unraveled.

“It’s still a terrible shame that people lose their lives that way,” said Michael Gluhanich, who drove past the terrible scene. “Just say a prayer for them.”

Danville police tell LEX 18 News that a Monticello man is under arrest tonight on a host of drug charges following a report of two men acting suspicious around children in Millennium Park. As officers approached the men’s car, they observed the passenger stuffing something into his pants. After calling in a K-9 unit, officers located marijuana, 128 grams of methamphetamine, narcotics related equipment, scales, plastic baggies and cash.

At that point, 53-year-old Terry L. Lowe of Monticello was arrested on numerous charges including marijuana possession, three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, promoting contraband and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lowe also had warrants out of Wayne county for charges including drug and firearm violations. He was also wanted for being a Persistent Felony Offender.
