Missing Person CA Woman Kidnapped for Ransom

A 29-year-old California woman was kidnapped from her boyfriend’s home and is possibly being held for ransom, police said Tuesday.

Authorities were notified by Denise Huskins’ boyfriend that she had been abducted Monday from his home in Mare Island in Vallejo, the San Francisco Chronicle reported ( http://bit.ly/1OyHms8 ).

Huskins’ boyfriend, 30-year-old Aaron Quinn, called police about 2 p.m. Monday to report she had been forcefully taken from his home in the middle of the night and that the intruders had demanded a ransom for her return, police said.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

It’s not clear why Quinn took so long to alert authorities but wouldn’t reveal details about the case and said the man is not a person of interest.

“We don’t have all the facts yet,” Vallejo police Lt. Kenny Park said at a news conference Tuesday. “All I can tell you is there was a ransom demand, (according to) the male person who reported this crime.”

A car was taken from her Vallejo home and found at an undisclosed location, police said. The vehicle is registered to Quinn.

Quinn could not immediately be reached for comment. Park did not identify Quinn, but he said the man Huskins lives with was being interviewed by investigators.

Investigators “have a lot of information still to sift through. We don’t have all of the facts in yet, and that’s what he’s helping us do, to piece the puzzle together.”

Huskins works as a physical therapist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo. She moved to Vallejo in June from Southern California.

About 75 searchers from Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Solano counties set out Tuesday morning to look for Huskins or for evidence around Mare Island.

Private Detective: Firefighters Find Human Skull in Clay County

Firefighters preparing to battle a large forest fire in Clay County on Tuesday evening found a partial human skull.

Crews with the Kentucky Division Of Forestry made the disturbing discovery as they were on their way to the fire that burned 25 to 30 acres in the area of Ephram Creek.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“I would imagine that’s not something that they’re prepared to find while they’re out there fighting a fire,” Danny Finley, the Clay County Coroner told LEX 18’s Josh Breslow. “My impression is that they’ve been at that particular location at least a couple of years.”

The remains could have even been there for decades, investigators said.

They will now go to a forensic pathologist.

“Once the pathologist examines the partial skull, they’ll then let us know approximately how old it is, how long it’s been in the elements. And things of that nature. And that’ll give us something to go on,” said Trooper Lloyd Cochran with Kentucky State Police.

While the skull was found about 80 yards from Ephram Creek Cemetery, the coroner said he was fairly certain the skull did not come from there.

Officials said they will likely search the area around Ephram Creek for additional human remains.

Missing Person 5 Year Old Noah Thomas of Pulaski County, VA

The search for Noah Thomas, the missing five-year-old Pulaski County boy believed to be in danger, has entered a second day.

Investigators said that while they are not ruling anything out concerning his disappearance, there is nothing that indicates the case is suspicious at this point.

“We have no evidence that has come forward as to any foul play or any vehicle seen in the area,” Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis said. “And if you’ll think this is a Sunday morning, a lot of people are moving around. While it’s on a rural route, it’s a tight residential community.”

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Monday morning WDBJ reported that Virginia State Police, the FBI and Pulaski County deputies widened their search for the boy, who vanished from his home Sunday morning in the 5400 block of Highland Road in Dublin. Officials said they think the boy left home on foot.

Police told WDBJ that when Noah’s mother woke up around 9 a.m. Sunday morning, she said her son was watching cartoons in the living room. She told police that she fell back asleep and then woke up around 10 or 10:30 a.m. That’s when she discovered Noah was missing and that the living room door was ajar. She told deputies that she searched for her son before calling authorities around 11 a.m.

Officials said that the ground search for Noah continued through the night. By Monday morning, additional search teams arrived to focus on a one-mile radius from where the boy was last spotted.

At least 150 law enforcement and emergency crew members are taking part in the search. Crews are also utilizing dogs in an effort to pickup a scent.

Noah is described as white male with red hair and brown eyes. The boy, who is  four feet tall and weighs 60 ponds, was last seen wearing a camo jacket, black and yellow pants and Spiderman rain boots.

If you have information that could help authorities, call the Pulaski Sheriff’s Office at 540-980-7800 or the Virginia State Police 1-800-822-4453 (1-800-VACHILD).
