Missing Person Apryl Foster’s Car Found in Lake and Body Inside

The car of Apryl Foster, the Brandon woman who vanished Feb. 12, was found submerged in a lake Sunday afternoon, police said.

A female was found inside the car, but Tampa police haven’t identified the woman.

According to Tampa police, the clothing of the victim matches what Foster, 33, was wearing when she disappeared.

The medical examiner will identify the victim found in the car. The car was found in a small lake near Open Field Loop and Rain Dance Place, not far from Foster’s home, police said.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Deputies said the adult female found inside the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo is “tentatively identified as Apryl Foster,” a report states. Preliminary information doesn’t indicate any foul play, deputies said. “However, keep in mind the investigation is still early and ongoing.”

Col. J.R. Burton, of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, said the discovery was made around 3 p.m. Sunday after boaters noticed an obstruction in the water. That led to a neighbor who lives next to the boat ramp to check video from their home surveillance cameras.

“There are actually two angles,” Burton said. “Right where we’re standing, and then another camera that actually literally points to the boat ramp itself. The vehicle drives in, makes the turn toward the ramp and continues on.”

Foster was driving her Aveo in Ybor City the night she was last seen. She left a bar around 2 a.m., investigators said.

“This is a tragic end to a very sad story,” said Brian Dugan, of the Tampa Police Department. “If anything, it at least gives us answers now as to what happened. … We have become very close with the family. This is every parent’s worst nightmare.”

Foster’s mother, Peggy Beman, said her daughter loved the area.

“For me, I just cannot imagine not having closure,” she said. “That’s something that God has blessed us with — that we have had closure. Because we know she’s with her (grandfathers) today. And we know she’s looking in the eyes of Jesus.”

When asked if there was any reason to believe it wasn’t Foster’s body inside the vehicle, Burton said: “I would say there’s no reason at this point to believe that. We obviously can’t for official purposes confirm that.”

Craig Beman, Foster’s stepfather, said the family is going to miss their girl.

“We don’t understand this, and maybe we will someday,” Beman said.
