Staff at the Village Animal Hospital in Lexington were shocked by a brazen act and now they are turning to the public for help tracking down an alleged theft suspect.

Surveillance video shows a black male walking into the animal hospital and grabbing a charity donation jar from the front counter. The jar had been placed there to collect donations for Nature’s Haven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue.

A staff member saw the incident and attempted to confront the man who calmly walked from the scene.

Staff are hoping that social media can identify the man and get back their money for their charity.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what happened to a Connecticut mom who vanished in Vermont late last month.

The Vermont State Police say they have six to seven detectives actively investigating Denise Hart’s disappearance. The 25-year-old woman was last seen Jan. 25 at a home in Sudbury. A day later her car turned up engulfed in flames at the Cornwall Swamp fishing access, but Hart was nowhere to be found.

“It’s not fair for me to sit here and wondering whether my child is dead or alive,” said Dedre Robinson, Hart’s mom.

Robinson wants to know what happened to her daughter during her latest visit to Vermont.

Maj. Glenn Hall says Hart has friends in the Green Mountains and for the last few years would make regular trips from Hartford, Connecticut, to Rutland and Addison counties.

“I have her 3-year-old son. He needs justice. I need justice. I need to know where’s my daughter,” said Robinson.

Robinson worries her grandson will never see his mom again.

Vermont State Police are calling Hart’s disappearance very suspicious and have interviewed at least 20 people since she vanished. They are “looking into every aspect of her life including the fact that some people in her life are involved in drug activity.”

State police have sent detectives to Connecticut to speak with Hart’s family and friends, who say even when she’s traveling, she remains in constant contact with them. They call it unusual that no one has heard from her in more than a month and police say there’s been no activity on her cellphone.

Hart was last seen at a friend’s house in Sudbury. Police say that man and his father, the property owner, are cooperating with the investigation, consenting to a search of their home and rural property. Police did not find any clues. But they did find Hart’s borrowed Pontiac Grand Am on fire less than 10 miles away a day after she disappeared.

Detectives suspect foul play, but do not have a body. They believe on the night Hart vanished, she left the house, possibly to meet up with someone. Who that person is and why she went remain a mystery.

“Somebody knows something. You’re not going to tell me my child just disappeared into thin air,” said Robinson.

Police say Denise Hart does not have a criminal record. And at this point they do not have any suspects in her disappearance

Friends, family, co-workers and strangers are keeping hope that they’ll find 33-year-old Apryl Foster.

Tampa police released surveillance photos Thursday showing what the Brandon woman looked like early Feb. 12 when she was last seen.

One week after her disappearance, co-workers at Ulele restaurant in Tampa held a vigil. They’re hopeful that officers will find their friend. “She was a special person that glowed. She smiled. She lived life every moment,” says Richard Gonzmart, owner of Ulele.

Gonzmart and his family have given a considerable amount to the reward fund. They’re hoping the $25,000 reward will encourage anyone with information on Foster to come forward. “We haven’t given up and we won’t ever give up.”

At the Bad Monkey in Ybor City, the bar and the Tampa Bay Brewing Company are working together to raise money for her parents. Craig and Peggy Beman drove here from Texas to look for their daughter. Foster met friends at the Bad Monkey after getting off of her shift at Ulele. She left the Bad Monkey just after midnight last Thursday.

“Ybor City is where the heart beats in Tampa and when something like this happens all of down here, it just kills us and we just want to pull together as a family and do something,” says Mike Doble with the Tampa Bay Brewing Company. He never met Foster, but like others in the community, he worries for her.

He says hope is not lost, “I’m driving around and I can’t help but look down alleys and look down the streets and wonder, ‘where did she go?”

And hope is not lost. Investigators are hoping for tips that give them leads. They want people look at her pictures and look out for cars that match the description of her 2009 red Chevrolet Aveo.

Officials in Spartanburg County are asking for your help to find a missing, endangered person.

They say Joseph Lee Massingale, 38, of Phantom Drive in Lyman was last seen at home last Wednesday.

Deputies say Massingale has a medical condition which he takes medication for, but he doesn’t have it with him.

His family tells investigators he has walked away from home before and likes to walk train tracks and sleep under bridges.

In the past, they say he has been found in Williamston, Anderson, Laurens and Polk County.

Sacramento County investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying an identity theft suspect.

The woman in question used a counterfeit credit card twice at the Olson Drive Target in Rancho Cordova on Jan. 21, investigators say.

The woman is described as a black female adult in her late 20s or early 30s, between 5’3″ and 5’6″ tall and weighing 180-220 pounds. She was wearing black rimmed glasses and a black and white PINK sweatshirt and light-colored capri pants.

Authorities are searching for a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen about a week ago in southeast Houston.

Mercedes Myhreeh Solis was last seen going to school about 7 a.m. Friday in the 10000 block of Gulf Valley near Fuqua, according to the Houston Police Department.

Solis did not return home.

Solis is described as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall and she weighs about 113 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, Solis was wearing a pink hoodie, a black polo-style shirt, tan pants and pink-and-purple Jordan shoes.

Tyler Police are looking for a missing man.

At 9:27 Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to 2525 Shiloh Road in reference to a missing person call. When Officers arrived, they learned that this location was a group home for mentally challenged adults. The care giver advised that at approximately 6:30 pm, one of the residents identified as, 48 year old Emery McCuin walked off the property and failed to return. According to the care giver, McCuin has a mental impairment that he takes medication for and has been diagnosed with mild retardation.

McCuin is described as a black male, 6′ 01” / 200 lbs., last seen wearing a red hoodie, white baseball cap and blue jeans.
