A southeast Missouri man has been sentenced to three terms of life in prison plus 15 years for sex crimes involving children.

The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills, Missouri (http://bit.ly/1BlI33U ) reports that 54-year-old Joseph Troy Wilson, formerly of Farmington, was sentenced last week after a judge denied his request for a new trial. Wilson was found guilty of sodomy and child molestation charges in December.

Authorities say Wilson had sexual contact with four children between 2000 and 2005. He denied the allegations.

The missing Lexington child who wandered away from his home was found safe, police say.

12-year-old Josh Winburn disappeared from his home on Niagara Drive Wednesday morning around 6 a.m. Officials tell LEX 18 that Winburn had been sick lately.

Winburn was found on Thames Drive in Lexington. According to police, Winburn was found playing video games with a friend..

Police were concerned about Winburn’s safety in  the cold temperatures.

Brandi Knight (16) was last seen on Tuesday, February 17th at about 8:30 am after being dropped off for a school program at the Brass Mills Mall in Waterbury. It is unknown if she ever made it to the program. She is a foster child living with a family in Naugatuck and has recently been reported to have run away twice last month. On both occasions she was located a short time later in Waterbury.

A Laurel County man was indicted by a grand jury after he was detained by a homeowner during an alleged burglary.

Joshua Smith was arrested in December of 2014 after he was allegedly caught burglarizing a home in Pulaski County by the homeowner. According to a citation, a struggle ensued and the homeowner managed to subdue Smith until deputies arrived.

Smith was charged with first degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The grand jury returned an indictment on Smith  Monday.

Smith is currently incarcerated and held on a $100,000 cash bond.

A man whose serious health condition requires daily medication took a taxi to the bus station in Eugene last Thursday and hasn’t been heard from since, police said.

Robert “Bob” Lewis Murphy is considered an endangered missing person, Cottage Grove Police said.

A healthcare provider told police Murphy left home Thursday by taxi, bound for the Greyhound station in downtown Eugene.

His whereabouts since then are unknown, although he may have been bound for Grants Pass, police said.

Murphy did not take his daily medications with him, police said.

Murphy is 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with blue and bleached blond hair. He may be wearing white pants and a blue jacket.

Kentucky State Police say a teenager who was reported missing has been found deceased in Ballard County.

Troopers say the 17-year-old was reported missing Monday afternoon. He had last been seen early Monday morning around 1:00 a.m.

The teenager’s body was discovered Tuesday near a radio tower close to where he was reported missing.

Kentucky State Police say they do not suspect foul play in the teenager’s death.

They are awaiting toxicology reports.

A Broward County man who swindled senior citizens out of money by posing as a contractor is under arrest, officials say.

This is the second arrest for Niraj Sethi in less than a month on similar charges, according to the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud.

Sethi was first arrested as a part of an undercover sting in Tamarac in January. At that time, Sethi was found to be contracting work without a license and operating without workers’ compensation insurance.

After recognizing his mugshot, an elderly Palm Beach County Couple contacted the Broward State Attorney’s Office. According to the office, Sethi contracted with the couple for work on their Boynton Beach home, but instead, ran off with their $5,000 deposit, leading to Sethi’s second arrest.

Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who ran away from her Northwest Side home after an argument with her mother over social media.

Kassandra Terraza ran out of her home in the 3800 block of North Laramie about 9:20 p.m. Sunday after arguing with her mother about social media, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Kassandra is described as a 5-foot-2, 140-pound Hispanic girl with brown hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion. She was last seen wearing a black Nike sweater, tan pants and brown Timberland boots.
