Wrongful Death 3 Arrested After Not Calling 911 for Woman Who Overdosed

Three people are in jail and charged with reckless homicide after police say they left a woman to die after she overdosed on an unknown substance.

Police say that Amy Cain, Harvey Cain and Jason Reiter were burglarizing an abandoned house for copper. Deputies were dispatched to the house for a burglary in process where Amy and Harvey Cain and Reiter were caught.

That’s when the suspects told police that someone in a mobile home next to the abandoned house needed medical attention.

The deputy then found a female victim who had overdosed barely clinging to life. Officials tell LEX 18 that the victim was Reiter’s girlfriend and neither he nor Cain had called 911 to report the medical emergency.

The victim passed away at the hospital hours later.

The deputy says the suspects knew that the victim needed help at 10 am, 5 hours before they allegedly robbed the abandoned house around 3 p.m.

Police say that they didn’t call 911 because one of the suspects had outstanding warrants.

All three suspects have been lodged in the Knox County Detention Center and have been charged with reckless homicide.

Somerset police have charged a Wichita, Kansas woman with a felony charge from a 2008 case in Pulaski County.

Wrongful Death Additional Details in Death of Bell County Woman

Just a few weeks after a Bell County woman is found dead in her daughters home, state troopers have arrested four people for the murder.

It’s a name Debra Baker’s family is familiar with, Brenda Miller. They say Miller was a close family friend but now she and 3 other men, Charles Gilbert, Chad Love and Varion Johnson are accused of murder in connection to the death of the 55-year-old grandmother

“That’s a real hard pill to swallow. I mean, we have pictures of her and my sister together,” said Arther Hatfield, Baker’s brother.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Just after 2 weeks after Baker was found shot to death in her daughter’s home, along with a few things stolen from the home, investigators got a tip Monday that pointed to the four suspects.

But for Baker’s older brother, this break in the case is more than the beginning of closure. It’s also justice.

“This is something you can’t overlook or just get over or just forgive somebody,” he said.

While Hatfield still can’t believe his sister was the victim of a senseless crime, he says knowing people are being responsible helps them cope with the loss. All four suspects are in the Knox County Detention Center.

Missing Person Two WA Teens May Be Victims of Sex Trafficking

Keyanna Monson and Samantha Eldredge, both 16, packed their bags and mysteriously vanished from their homes on January 28. The two missing girls reportedly told a friend of their plan to leave town, however, they did not give a detailed explanation for why they’d make such a shocking, abrupt decision.

Now, after paying close attention to detail, investigators have reportedly found a number of clues that may explain why the girls are missing and where they may be going. Police in Washington state have growing speculation and fears that the two missing girls could be victims of sex trafficking, reports the Daily Mail.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Janée Call, a close friend to the Monson family, contacted KIRO-TV with an update about the case. Monson’s cell phone was discovered after she went missing. After skimming through the phone, her mother noticed a number of social media apps, like Zoosk and Kik. Although social media apps aren’t uncommon, sites like Zoosk aren’t exactly suitable for a 16-year-old girl. Other sites like Facebook and Kik can also be potentially dangerous because sex offenders have been known to use social media to lure teens.

Apparently, Keyanna had been conversing with older men who contacted her through the mobile apps. Although no details about the conversations have been revealed, it’s probably safe to say the dialogue was inappropriate because an older man should not have been conversing with the teen to begin with. Authorities also insist substantial evidence may suggest that the girls could be around hotels in the Puget Sound region. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if they are still together or not.

Shari Ireton, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, released a brief statement about the significance of the girl’s cell phone history, which leads authorities to believe sex trafficking could be possibility.

“With sex trafficking usually comes a bevy of other crimes– usually drug abuse, physical abuse, sexual assault– so pulling them out of that world as quickly as possible is what we’re aiming for,” Ireton said.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information that may help this case to call 911 immediately, or contact the anonymous tip line at 425-388-3845.

Private Detective: 6 Year Old Kidnapped and Terrorized ‘to Teach Him a Lesson’

Four people have been arrested in a kidnapping case the suspects say was meant to teach a 6-year-old boy a lesson about stranger danger.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies say the child was lured into a pickup truck by Nathan Firoved while walking home from school Monday. Once the child was in the truck, Firoved told him he would never “see his mommy again,” and he would be “nailed to the wall of a shed.” When the child started to cry, Firoved showed him a gun and threatened to hurt him if he did not stop crying.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Firoved bound the boy’s hands and feet, covered his face and drove him around for a while.

While the boy was blindfolded, he was unknowingly taken to his home, where his aunt removed his pants and told him he could be sold into sex slavery.

Deputies say the boy was left in the basement for some time before he was unbound and family members lectured him about stranger danger.

The boy’s mother, Elizabeth Hupp, grandmother, Rose Brewer and aunt, Denise Kroutil, have been charged. Firoved works with Kroutil and says he was asked to kidnap the boy to “scare” him because he was “too nice.”

The victim told school officials about the incident, and they reported it to the Division of Family Services.

The suspects told investigators they were trying to teach the boy a lesson and felt they did nothing wrong.

All four suspects are facing charges including felony kidnapping and abuse and neglect of a child. They are being held at the Lincoln County Jail on $250,000 cash-only bonds.

The child is now staying with another family member.
