Private Detective: 6 Teens Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Girl in Denver

Six male teens have been accused of sexually assaulting a girl at a party in suburban Denver, police said Friday.

Five teens, ranging from 16 to 19, were arrested during the course of the investigation. Police said they expected to arrest the sixth suspect soon.

The investigation began Sunday night after the girl was reported missing in the city south of Denver. Police described her as a runaway and said officers ended up contacting her just as a missing person report was being filed with the police department.

According to police, the girl said she had been sexually assaulted while at a party earlier in the day attended by 10 to 12 people. The girl was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and for a sexual assault examination. Details of her injuries weren’t released and police spokesman Kevin Sage declined to comment beyond the statement.

Police said their investigation found that she had been sexually assaulted by six people at the party, where there was underage drinking and marijuana use.

A 19-year-old, two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old were arrested Sunday night and early Monday. Police say their investigation led to the identification of two more suspects. The fifth suspect, a 15-year-old, was arrested Wednesday.

The girl and some of the suspects are students at Englewood High School, school spokeswoman Julie McGinley said. The others are students at other schools in the district.

In a statement, Englewood Schools said it is working to keep the victim safe in school and cooperating with police.

“We are also making sure that all students affected by these events are receiving the support and the counseling they need,” it said.

Private Detective: Mom Buys Pot for Juveniles

Lexington Police allege that a Lexington mom was out of line in some mid day activities with her daughter and her daughter’s middle school friend.

A police report says that around noon Thursday 34-year-old Sheri Humston and her daughter drove to Bryan Station Middle School to pick up the daughter’s 13-year-old friend. A Clark County preschool teacher went to jail for what police say she did to her own daughter.

Social services were called and discovered two significant bruises on the child, one of which the girl told police was caused when her mother pulled her down the stairs.

Lockhart is a teacher at Hannah McClure Elementary.

The superintendent of Clark County Schools says he is aware of the investigation and the school will be conducting their own investigation and will make a decision on her employment once the matter is resolved, but wants to assure parents that student safety is their number one priority.

Missing Person 16 Year Old Virginia Girl Found in Arkansas

A 16-year-old girl from Virginia who was considered an endangered missing person after disappearing with an older man has been found safe in Little Rock.

Authorities in Christiansburg, Va., reported just before midnight Thursday that teen Aysia Monique Lewis had been found safe in Arkansas’ capital city and that the man she was believed to have left Virginia with, 33-year-old Donald “Bruce” Quesenberry Jr., was in custody.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, authorities responded about 11:30 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 13000 block of West Markham Street after receiving information the two were there.

“Someone in Virginia” contacted Lewis by phone, the report said, and she came out of an apartment where Quesenberry was later found inside.

Quesenberry — who police say acknowledged driving Lewis from Virginia — was arrested on a charge of theft by receiving because the car he was traveling in was reported stolen in Illinois, the report said.

Lewis was taken to a youth services facility in Cecil, where her parents were expected to meet her.

The Christiansburg Police Department said in a statement that Lewis was last seen Monday afternoon after school and it was believed Quesenberry traveled from his Illinois home to meet her. The pair were believed to be traveling in a gold Nissan Altima.

The police department said in the statement that neither Lewis’ nor Quesenberry’s friends or families had heard from either one of them in the days after she was reported missing. She was classified as “endangered” because of her “age and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance,” the agency said.

Authorities said Quesenberry was facing a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor even before the teen was found and that additional charges are now pending.

Wrongful Death Arrested Made in Death of Phoenix Couple

Tucson police said they solved the murder of a Phoenix couple who disappeared when they drove to southern Arizona to buy a motorcycle in 2002.

Investigators on Wednesday arrested Brian Ferry, 44, on suspicion of first-degree murder in the deaths of Charles Russell and Catherine Nelson who were originally reported missing on Feb. 6, 2002.

Police said Russell, 58, and Nelson, 42, drove to Tucson on Feb. 2, 2002 to buy a motorcycle and never returned home. A missing person’s report was filed several days later when they failed to show up for work, police said.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Within a week of their disappearance, Tucson police found the couple’s truck abandoned in a church parking lot in southwest Tucson, according to investigators.

Detectives continued investigating but could not find the couple and the case became a missing persons case.

Police reopened the case within the last five years and made an arrest this week.

A Tucson police spokesman declined to release any additional details because investigators are continuing to conduct interviews.

Ferry was arrested on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder.

Detectives are still looking for information regarding the incident and are asking anybody with information to call 88-C-R-I-M-E.

Wrongful Death Trial Date Set for Madison County Double Homicide

A trial date has finally been set for a brutal double homicide in Madison County.

Daniel Keene and Lebruce Ellington appeared before a judge Thursday with a courtroom filled with family hoping to get some closure.

The nightmare began when Sonsary “Sonsi” Warford and Charles “Chew” Walker went missing in 2010. Police found their bodies two years later, buried in a Richmond field.

Daniel Keene and Matthew Denholm were charged in the kidnapping and murder.  Sonsi was executed and Chew was tortured before he was killed.  Lebruce Ellington was also charged in the couple’s death.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Denholm pled guilty to killing Sonsi and another man in an unrelated Berea case.  He’s serving a life sentence.

In court on Thursday Sonsi and Chew’s families were hoping for a similar outcome, hoping that the two would also plead guilty.

Chew’s aunt says he would’ve been 35 this year.

“Every time we come to the courtroom it’s like opening a wound back up,” she says. And “that seems like it’s never going to heal.”

While they are one step closer to ending this nightmare, they fear the worst is yet to come.

The trial is set for late 2015.
